Thanks to The Digital Bits via Animated News, we have found out that on September 6th DVD won’t be the only disc format to get Toy Story – 10th Anniversary Edition. The film will also be Buena Vista’s first animated UMD video release. UMD (Universal Media Disc) is a Sony created disc format for use on their PlayStation Portable entertainment system. The disc format has been accepted as a standard format by Ecma International, meaning it may eventually appear in other devices or computers.
There have been over 140 titles already released and more are coming so keep an eye out for them.
