Toy Story Collection Up for Pre-Order

News

The most wanted toy in the mid-90’s was arguably a brand new, state-of-the-art Buzz Lightyear.

I remember when I was younger one of my favorite toys was Buzz, no surprise, he’s extremely cool as a character and a "plaything." Now I can’t wait to see how the kids of this generation welcome the characters from Andy’s room (that premiered almost 15 years ago) into their homes with this new incarnation.

That day will finally come this August with the release of a brand new set of electronics and figures dubbed the Toy Story Collection. The Disney Store has them for pre-order including the brand new Buzz Lightyear 12’‘ Action Figure, Sheriff Woody 15’‘ Action Figure, a Rex 13’‘ Action Figure and the RC Car, (you may remember some of these previewed in an earlier post) both with realistic and movie accurate remote controlled movements. The most special part of these toys is that, not only are they high tech with voice commands and such, but they are made from the original film data to be as true to the source as possible and come with a certificate of authenticity "signed" by John Lasseter. On the lower tech side are the Bucket O Soldiers featuring Sarge & crew and the Little Green Men 3-Pack. Not part of the Toy Story Collection but still new to the marketplace is iDance Buzz Lightyear. You guessed it, he dances to your MP3 player’s tunes. For those of you wondering where Thinkway Toy‘s Toy Story line has gone, this is it. Each one was made by the company that believed in Pixar’s first movie which apparently wasn’t going to sell any toys even though it was about toys. They’re all on the expensive side, but they sure look fun for all ages come late August.

You can pre-order these toys now at Disney Store’s website.

(Thanks, Tyler)
