Pixar has consistently (with a few rare exceptions) released teasers for their next film alongside the one prior to it. As Brave premieres in the US this week, Pixar has launched teasers for Monsters University giving us our first look at Mike and Sully’s college life.
You may be asking, teasers? Well, the Pixar team found Billy Crystal’s improvisation so hilarious that they couldn’t pick just one line to use. My personal favorite is below. The trailer feels straight out of early 2000s Pixar, beginning with an homage to the original film but quickly veering off into its own direction.

The first piece of concept art for Monsters University also premiered via Tribute, and it looks fantastic. Pixar’s concept artists always deliver incredible work.
Directed by Dan Scanlon, Monsters University will launch in almost exactly one year on June 21, 2013.

Hmm interesting.. I am hoping this isn’t final footage as Sully’s fur doesn’t look nearly as good as it did in the first movie.
