"We’re bustin’ outta here" seems to be the new direction Toy Story 3 marketing is taking as we get closer to release.
With recent clips like "Mission I" focusing on the toy’s plans to break out of Sunnyside, it’s only natural that the latest international poster for the highly anticipated sequel would feature the tagline "The Great Escape."
Pixar’s design, courtesy of ScreenWeek, is extremely appealing to me. Maybe it’s because the toys are so expressive or because they’re in action — can’t quite put my finger on it. One thing’s for sure, Buzz takes front-and-center this time, unlike in past international promos. Let’s not forget the toys from Sunnyside Daycare are in the back! They seem rather jolly, don’t they? In related news: Now that we’re on the topic of Toy Story 3’s international release, it makes sense that I mention a special UK gala screening of Toy Story 3. It’s at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on June 19th.
