Woody's Mega TS3 News Round-Up!

News Round-Ups Toy Story 3

Ever heard the term ‘infomania‘? Well fasten your seat belts and hold on tight! Coming up is a TS3 round-up like no other. I hardly knew what to do with all this news:

• Toy Story 3 is set to open Italy’s Taormina Film Festival on June 12th, 2010. The Hollywood Reporter notes that Pixar’s latest will play at the fest only one day before its US premiere.

Disney.com currently features a video profile on Ken in its home page media player. The brand new TS3 character and long time Barbie staple wants you to know that "he’s not a girl toy!" Look for the third clip from the top, and remember, the site is constantly changing so you may miss it.

• The lucky guys at Film Gecko got the opportunity to chat with the star of Toy Story 3, Tom Hanks! In his latest interview, Woody himself talks about the upcoming film, working with Pixar and reactions he’s gotten from the series.

• Flick Direct got to chat with none other than the voice of TS3’s lead, Buzz Lightyear! In this brand new interview, funny man Tim Allen notes the challenges and rewards that come with working on Toy Story, among other interesting tidbits.

• In another instance of cross promotion, Pixar has produced a fun Toy Story 3 TV spot for Target advertising the store’s exclusives from the movie. USPS also joins in with its mini-site for TS3/Priority Mail shipping.

• After previous misleading reports, The Pixar Blog confirms today that the Toy Story 3 Soundtrack will only be available as a digital download when it’s released on June 15th. I expect some fans to be disappointed while others may feel indifferent.

• If you’re just tuning in, you may have missed a slew of new promos from Toy Story 3. ‘The Great Escape’ featurette, ‘Buzz Flies’ film clip and three Blogger Day interviews were recently released. You’ll definitely want to watch each!

The Art of Toy Story 3 is out now! For an SRP of $40.00 you’ll get 175-pages packed with 250+ pieces of artwork and stories from the filmmakers themselves. Read my review here. Order at Amazon or Chronicle.
