Since it’s never been done before, I thought it would be worthwile to compile a list of all the types Green Army Man that Andy has in his bucket. The Toy Story Collection version was great, however, wasn’t exact, and that’s what I plan to get down:

I’m curious if the types are consistent, or if new kinds appear and disappear between movies/shots…you see tons in the “You are an absolute disgrace! You don’t deserve to…” in TS, but they’re not frozen so that might not be a good source of seeing them.
Yeah, I’m staying away from that because even a soldier with the same weapon can be in the same pose. Though if anyone notices a soldier with a new weapon, then I’ll look into that.
I also noticed another type of soldier from when Buster knocked them over.
There’s a TSC version of him, but I couldn’t find a good picture.
How many soldiers come in the TSC bucket? I’ve been meaning to pick it up.

- the guy carrying his rifle over his head is included
- the minesweeper is included
- the guy carrying his rifle at his waist is included
- the guy carrying a pistol and binoculars is included
- bazooka guy is included
- mortar guy is included
- guy carrying gun at neck is included, but only as a paratrooper
- guy kneeling and shooting is included
- guy laying down is included
- shooting gun at mid-waist isn’t included
- guy with gun in one hand and other hand open is included (only in the first release)
- Medic isn’t included
There was also another bucket released back in '95. Though the bucket isn’t as accurate (close, though) and it also has 72 troops (pretty sure they’re different), it’s gotta be more accurate with the soldiers from what I’ve seen, they’re the right shade of green. I also heard that John Lasseter requested they use heavier molds to recreate the uneven plastic on the soliders in the movie.
72 (2 with parachutes) And Andy has 200, I got 2 so far and will pick another one up in the future to get the same amount. Then look into a bigger bucket.
72 in the new one…it’s my sisters though so I’m not allowed to go through it. If Sarge is the guy with the telephone to his ear, I believe there’s many of him. Also many with the binoculars,which Sarge used in TS to look at the presents
Sarge is the saluting guy in the first picture.
Shouldn’t he also be in the third? He’s the one who communicates through the monitor right? In which case he’s also the one with the binoculars? Because we definetly see him holding them to look at the presents
Actually, I’m not sure. If that’s the guy voiced by R. Lee Ermey, then that’s definately Sarge’s dormant pose.

Haha, thanks anyways, I’ll go update my other post. I guess the saluting is Sarge’s main pose. I’m pretty sure Sarge is ahead of the line, being cut off in the picture I posted.
Ah, and notice on his pic he has the bbinoculars, where in your top one he has none 
I believe the army man with his small pistol out, and the binoculars is another version of sarge. Don’t quote me though.
It looks like he has them, but either way, he did in the movie, so it would only be a mistake in the picture. And I wonder if there was only one of him in the bucket.
Like I said, he was leading the line, so I assumed he was just cut off. Besides, he never had a pistol.
You’re right, he’s got binoculars in the other hand. Either there are multiple Sarges, or it’s an inconsistency. (Or it is implied he can put down the gun and binoculars, but they’re supposed to be molded into them). And I love that I quoted you 
You mean only one of him the movie, or the actual bucket? I’m positive you’re talking about the movie, but just in case, there is about 10 sarges in the TSC bucket.
No, I think I read somewhere that there was only one Sarge in the bucket in the movie. And thanks for the info, the list has been updated. The one with the guy holding the grenade and gun wasn’t in your group shot, but I included it because I saw it in another fan picture.
They must be missing from both of my buckets then, which i find unlikely.You sure those soldiers were from the TSC bucket? Could of have been normal army men. Not sure what army men are in the inaccurate TSC bucket though.
If we’re talking Sarge as the soldier with the gun and binoculars (which is what he has in the birthday scene,), then according to TS2, there are at least two rows of that type of soldier in the Dr. Pork Chop scenes. He never appears in the saluting posture outside of when he’s alive. I think the only soldier(s) missing from the bucket would be the medic(s), which have a white cross cutout stenciled on their helmet and no accessories.
Regarding the ‘grenade’ troop- i think you’re confusing the binoculars there for a grenade.
