Okay, super quick bullet point author’s note time!
-Spoilers for WALL-E if you still haven’t seen it (WHY MAN?!)
- I really hate to not tell pairings, but I hate more giving the one that will be a part of this story away.So I’m going to ask for a lot of “humor me”, but I’ll also assure that it’s not a pairing that should make anybody feel grossed out or uncomfortable. If the vagueness concerns you, send me a message with any questions and I’ll ease your mind. I’ll stop the most FAQ right off the bat though; it doesn’t counter WEVE.
-I update multi-chapters slow like molasses and have college. Sorry in advance.
-Paradox is getting a plot reboot and starting over at some point, for those wondering what happened to that.
-I know this is AU. I watched the credits. 28 times. Don’t care. xD

Chapter 1: Clean Floors
REFILL CLEANING FLUID.
Huh?
REFILL CLEANING FLUID.
Ugh, again already? M-O watched the message strobe on his visor for a moment with a dull expression before closing it. He turned his head around fully as he grumbled, looking at the two items that each took up half of the space on his back. On his right when facing forward, the empty pack of cleaner fluid. The left side was taken up by a white metal claw, compacted into as small of a fold as it could muster. The hand of the claw was dull, in some attempt to make it gentler looking and better coordinated with the design the cute cleaner bot, but all the same it was clearly a later addition solely for functionality reasons. And yet, he was starting to wonder how functional the hand really was. He’d decided to receive it to be of more use to the colony, but he’d had it for three months of the year everybody had been on Earth and he’d only ever used for testing purposes. All it did it seemed was took up space from what was once a larger cleaner fluid pack. People seemed to be chugging along just fine without him doing anything besides cleaning, and even with that job he had a lot of free time.
In fact, free time was exactly why he was there. Nobody has asked M-O to scrub the Lido Deck. Nobody ever asked him to. The entire ship was considered a depressing statue as best and a waste of space at worst.
No, wait, at best it was a huge chunk of salvageable parts. That’s what they were demolishing it for in a week, after all.
“Buy N Large: everything you need to be happy!”
M-O froze.
“Your day is very important to us.”
He shuddered at the one thing that almost kept him from coming here when he was bored. Aside from the deactivated Auto, nobody knew how to fully shut down the Axiom. That message would chime hauntingly over the loud speakers every hour like clockwork, and it drove him mad, disturbing enough to keep him from following his obsessive habit around the dusty Axiom for more than a few hours on any given day. Today was no exception. Needing to go outside to restock on cleaner fluid anyway, now was as good a time as ever to leave for the day. He turned and started towards the Exit.
