apparently Lee Unkrich is making a toy story 4 movie, but it a will be a very dark and heavy inspired by the shining, and a photo was released today:

I want to see The Shining, just because Lee Unkrich is a huge fan! But I’m get really scared at horror films!

Well e-j-e, you may be in luck. The Shining is a classic example of a chiller. A horror movie mostly relying on atmosphere to create the disorienting mood. I have to admit it can be scary at times, but it has zero scenes in it that go for cheap-jump scares. I’d reccomend it as the ultimate horror movie for people who get eazily scared, because it’s still scary, but not so scary that you won’t be able to sleep for weeks…Asuming you watch it with the lights on, maybe with someone else to keep you company. If you watch this movie by yourself with the lights out it will terrify you, but you should still be fine if you watch it under normal rules. You may even find a few references from Pixar: (Velocistar237, Sid’s carpet design, “Here’s Brucey!”, etc.)

There is one scene however…the Room 237 scene. It’s not really scary per say (even if I think so), but it’s so disgusting you may be tempted to turn the movie off. If you do end up watching it and this scene is cut out, that’s fine, but if the scene is in there…well it only lasts for about 30 seconds, and the rest of the movie continues in the usual awesome format. I also reccomend reading the book, which I believe is even better than the movie, no matter how much I love both. Good luck!
