Comments on: BBC's Alan Johnston Freed in Gaza https://pixarplanet.com/blog/bbcs-alan-johnston-freed-in-gaza/ A Pixar News Blog Fri, 06 Jul 2007 06:10:00 +0000 hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.3.2 By: CountSolo https://pixarplanet.com/blog/bbcs-alan-johnston-freed-in-gaza/#comment-2178 Fri, 06 Jul 2007 06:10:00 +0000 http://pixarplanet.com/blog/bbcs-alan-johnston-freed-in-gaza#comment-2178 In defense of Luxo, Jr., Upcoming Pixar has been supporting the release of Alan Johnston for many months now. Before he was released, there was even a button on the site (click here) that showed his support. I agree that, for the most part, this blog should stick to Pixar news. However, I think an exception can be made in this case to at least let curious visitors (like myself) know why the button was taken off the blog.

By the way, Mr. Johnston’s release is indeed wonderful news.

I don’t tune into Upcoming Pixar for news I can get at Google News or the nightly news. Not being rude, simply stating a fact.

Now if the news was that “All Terrorist Surrender” or “World Peace Breaks Out” that would be news. But if the focus is on terrorist hostages there’s not going to be any room left for news about Pixar because of the sheer volume of hostages that have been taken.

Cultural battles between the West and radicals in the East that wish to drag us back to the 7th century should be left to political news sites.

I don’t mean to be rude in any way… honest. I’m glad he was freed.. I just think we should stick to Pixar news (as the title of this blog shows) and let the news sites take care of what we need to know globally.
