Cars 2: The Video Game is now available from Disney Interactive Studios and Avalanche Software.
In the game, players must complete missions set forth by C.H.R.O.M.E., the car world’s top spy training academy. The goal is to become skilled in espionage like Finn McMissile and Holley Shiftwell.
We had the chance to get our hands on a preview copy (Wii) and have had a lot of fun with it. Cars 2 plays similarly to Mario Kart in that it’s a humorous racer with weapons to level the playing field. Many of the main racers (even the folks from Radiator Springs) are playable from the get go which is a nice touch!
Unlike similar racers, the light story moves play along pretty well. Hardcore gamers may not be satisfied, but if you’re looking to relive the film and expand on its racing scenes, definitely check it out! Coming from the developers of Toy Story 3: The Video Game, this title is solid for a movie adaptation.
