Thanks to a brand new clip shown at yesterday’s Venice International Film Festival, we now know a little bit more about the plot of Toy Story 3.
A SlashFilm reader was present and wrote up a description which is pretty much an expansion on the "Andy goes to college" line, beware, possible spoilers follow.
It seems Andy Davis is still fond of good old Sherriff Woody and will be taking the classic pull-string with him to college. The rest of his old toys are to be kept safe in the house. His mom requests for Andy to collect all his stuff in black plastic bags and keep everything he wants up in the attic. All else will be thrown out.
But due to a misunderstanding after getting sidetracked, the gang in Andy’s room gets thrown out for the garbage truck to pick up. The toys attempt to escape and as soon as Woody realizes what has happened, he comes to the rescue! Due to another unfortunate twist in fate, the cowboy doll opens the wrong bags only to see moments later that his friends are being loaded into the garbage truck…

O_O Oh my God…
Eh, I don’t know. I need to see more before I judge. I just hope it isn’t a rehash of the 2nd film with the exception of Woody saving the other toys.

Wow, this is so exciting, I just can’t wait for June! (already?!). While it sounds a bit on the strange side, I’m sure Unkrich and the team will be able to make another masterful film and a good addition to the Toy Story series.
By the way: Toy Story 2 had Lasetter (sp?) AND Unkrich directing it, but will TS3 only have Unkrich do the directing work?

is this the actual trailer for the movie, or is it a description of a legit clip of the movie? i actually don’t wanna read it because i don’t wanna spoil anything!! if it’s the trailer ive heard will be attached to the rerelease next month, i’m gonna try (and probably fail) to wait.
Now that makes more sense…instead of they all are going to preschool facility.
This should make it a real Woody adventure again…maybe some Buzz. Now they are both seperating once again only to come together again at the end.
Great Storyline Pixar…much better.
im soooo glad pixar is making a toy story 3. i love the first and second . i can’t wait then the third come out.
