P.S. I love the name “Planetians”, by the way.

]]>Oh, and to Mitch and anyone from Pixar Planet who is reading this, the reason why I haven’t been on the boards these past few days is because my username became inactive. I did not recieve an email, so with my father (yes, you heard me) I will try to email Pixar Vixen (she’s the right person to contact I believe) and get any further information. With luck, I should be back on the boards soon.

]]>I wasn’t planning on downloading it, in fact I had no clue that it was even available until I saw the blog posting. I had already seen the early screening last Saturday, so I wasn’t really seeking it out. And besides, Pixar releases are one of the few times a year I deem my money well spent on going to the threatre.
Anyways, I usually only pirate music and TV shows, but once in a while there’s a good DVD rip of a movie out there (i.e. “Sicko” recently, which I will also go see in theatres just because it was such a moving film). Unfortunately, Ratatouille wasn’t a DVD copy. It’s just a video camera version, and is actually quite low resolution. People certainly wouldn’t be able to watch this leaked copy on anything larger than a 10″ screen (comfortably that is). So, yes it is real, yes it is out there, and no, you don’t have to be afraid of losing box office revenue from it. I mean, this comment thread proves that not many here even know where to find the film, much less download it, much less burn a copy. And I think the geeks that are seeking out Ratatouille on the networks are generally the same type of geeks that praise The Incredibles and love Pixar (+ hate Dreamworks). So trust me, Pixar ain’t losing any cash over having it out there loose on the net.
]]>So yeah. I agree with luxo on this: Go see the film in theaters. Give Pixar the money they deserve…. Heh.
