Yes – it did seem like TS4 was more ‘adult’ in a way. It was always fun, but the themes are DEEP.

I enjoyed the movie (have only seen it once) but found it in parts creepy and on the whole melancholy. The character development was much more slight or obscure in this one than we’ve come to expect. Nonetheless a fun movie. I hope they will now let toy story fade out instead of adding more murkiness to a delightful franchise.
