\"New<\/a>Pixar<\/a> shares sky-rocketed to their highest ever level yesterday. They have had huge success after their 2-for-1 Stock Split and the release of The Incredibles<\/a> om November last year, and the release of the DVD<\/span> this year.<\/p>\n

\nAs you can see the shares jumped just after 9am on Monday,$2.29, or 4.5 percent, to $52.97 in afternoon trading on the Nasdaq stock market. You can see a detailed report of Pixar’s stocks here<\/a>, thanks to the New York Stock Exchange<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At the current price, the stock is up about 23 percent so far this year. In April, Pixar approved a 2-for-1 stock split.<\/p>\n

“Pixar, which reported better-than-expected first-quarter earnings and revenue earlier this month, has a 10-year distribution agreement with Disney that expires with the release of “Cars” next June.” says the Associated Press<\/a> in this article<\/a> over at MSN<\/span> Money<\/a>.
\n“The brokerage also said it believes that Pixar will ramp up its production schedule to more than one film per year, starting in 2009. “Specifically, we’ve assumed that starting in that year, Pixar will release two films per year, every other year,” Prudential said in its note, in which it also boosted its stock target price to $75 from $40. The higher price target is regardless of whether or not Pixar strikes a deal with Walt Disney Co., the brokerage added.”<\/p>\n
