The film opened in 3940 theatres across the US and brought in an estimated $16,600,000 on Friday. This puts <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Ratatouille<\/span> in 5th position for opening day grossings out of all Pixar films.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t know about you, but I think word of mouth will help <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Ratatouille<\/span> become the sleeper hit of the summer. I know I have been complaining a lot about Disney not giving <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Ratatouille<\/span> a world wide release date, but I do think it is all for the best (even though it sucks having to wait), considering that <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Finding Nemo<\/span> for example, came out in August in Australia and it went on to be the highest grossing film from Pixar.
