Anyone who\u2019s seen \u201cGeri\u2019s Game,\u201d the short film that Pinkava directed for the studio, knows that he has skills. However, after they were underway on RATATOUILLE<\/span>, Pinkava himself decided that story wasn\u2019t one of those skills. At least, not in terms of assembling a full-length narrative. He had a great core idea, but the film wasn\u2019t working as a whole, and he knew it. He chose to shift his attentions to a story program at Pixar University, leaving room for Brad to come in and take over as director of the feature.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

<\/span> And to reiterate what I said in the post below about no sequel to The Incredibles<\/i>, Moriarty points out that there are no plans currently. Brad on the subject said \u201cIf I came up with a story that was really worth telling, I\u2019d definitely want to do it. But the great thing about Pixar is that they\u2019re not pressuring me to do it just so they can release a sequel.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

I found it particularly sad to note that Bud Luckey is retiring. You might have heard of Bud before. He wrote and directed the short Boundin’<\/i> and he also worked on Sesame Street<\/i>. Moriarty tells us that the entire Pixar staff have created art to celebrate the career of Bud in a gallery.<\/p>\n
