As you may have already noticed, on this flash new version of Upcoming Pixar created by our very own Mell_O_Drama<\/a>, has lots of cool little features. I’ll go through each, one by one. <\/div>\n

– Social Networking Submissions<\/span><\/p>\n

First on the list we have the submission of articles to your favourite social networking websites. <\/span><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n

\n<\/div>\n
As you can see, you can submit any article easily now to Digg<\/a>, Del.icio.us<\/a>, Newsvine<\/a>, Reddit<\/a>, Facebook<\/a> or Stumbleupon<\/a>.<\/div>\n

So if you are a part of any of these sites, why not next time submit an article to the site and help spread the word.<\/div>\n

– Facebook Groups<\/span><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
Next up are Facebook Groups and Product Pages.  The Upcoming Pixar Group<\/a> is pretty much exactly the same, but if you haven’t joined, you might consider joining and supporting us. You might also consider joining the Pixar Planet Group<\/a>.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
However, product pages on Facebook are new and different. It’s more appropriate to what we are all about. You can become a "fan" of Upcoming Pixar at our product page<\/a>. The page acts like a friend on Facebook, meaning that it has a wall, I can add videos, photos, events etc. However, it has the ability for me to send updates to all of you about anything really. That’ll help me keep you abreast of all the happenings at Upcoming Pixar.<\/div>\n

– Forum Integration for Comments<\/span><\/div>\n

There is now forum integration with the comments. If you are a member of the Pixar Planet Forums<\/a>, when making a comment, your comment shall be posted with your forum username, and your avatar will also appear. Nifty isn’t it? Here is a before and after.<\/div>\n

– RSS<\/span> Feeds<\/span><\/div>\n

Some of you may be missing the RSS<\/span> feeds, some of you may not even know what an RSS<\/span> feed is. Basically, RSS<\/span> stands for Really Simple Syndication. All it is a bit of text formated in a certain way, and if you subscribe to that text, or feed rather, in say Firefox, Google Reader etc. you will receive whatever is in that feed. So basically there are RSS<\/span> feeds for Upcoming Pixar. If you add one of these feeds to your RSS<\/span> reader, it will alert you to whenever there is a new post on Upcoming Pixar. You can even read the whole article from in that reader. This is how I stay abreast of all the news in the world, as it saves me having to visit every site I like, every day, and I have 116 subscribed feeds. Others have 600+. <\/p>\n

The feeds are located on the bottom left. You can subscribe to the full blog (everything), General (which are just the news stories and not articles like this), Pixar Planet & Upcoming Pixar (which are these types of posts and news relating to us) and Editorials (which are basically editorials. And that brings us to the next point.)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

– New Posters<\/span><\/div>\n

I’d really like to welcome to Upcoming Pixar, Dash<\/a> and PixarVixen<\/a>. You probably aren’t aware that PixarVixen has been helping me with posting duties on UP over these past few months. Time’s when I have had to go away, she has stepped in to keep you all updated. So I officially get to thank her now. Thank you PV! Some of you already know Dash as the owner and financier of Pixar Planet and PixarVixen as the head of competitions and Moderator in Chief on the forums. You’ll probably all see Dash posting editorials here in the future, so look forward to them, I certainly am.  PixarVixen also designed that absolutely adorable logo for Upcoming Pixar. <\/div>\n
