Could Up be a $300 million dollar movie?<\/p>\n

Pete Docter’s second film<\/a> is not so far away from that with $279,583,282<\/strong> million in US receipts. Although Up is coming to a stall after a month and a half, soon we’ll see international numbers<\/a> sky rocket as it opens in more and more major territories.<\/p>\n

On Friday and Sunday Up earned just under a million dollars. Saturday earned about $1.2 million for a $3 million weekend<\/a>. Since I’m not currently covering daily box office I’ll take this time to profile daily results<\/a>. Monday through Thursday saw from $550 thousand to $750 thousand in earnings.<\/p>\n

Although recent box office isn’t very exciting it’s amazing where Pixar’s 10th film is slowing down. Until next time…<\/p>\n
