<\/a>You know the awards season is in full force when Golden Globes<\/a> nominations are announced<\/a> around this time of year!<\/p>\n

Pixar’s 10th film, Up<\/a>, was nominated for two awards, Best Animated Feature and Best Original Score!<\/p>\n

Here’s the competition Up will face for the HFPA<\/span>’s award, also watch out for commentary below:

\nCloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
\nThe Princess and the Frog
\nUp

Pixar is no stranger to the Animated category, winning consecutively since Cars. But even though it’s refreshing to know that our favorite studio wasn’t forgotten at this major awards ceremony, many still feel it could’ve gotten more recognition.<\/p>\n

It is of note that Up didn’t land Best Picture in neither the Drama nor the Comedy or Musical sections because there are rules confining it to Best Animated Film. This probably has to do with the fact that animation is unfortunately still seen as its own genre by some. At least Up has a good chance to shine in a year of outstanding animated fare!<\/p>\n
