<\/a>Promotion for this Sunday’s Golden Globes is pouring in like crazy, but in this media frenzy we must not forget tonight’s Critics’ Choice Movie Awards<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Surely the CCMA<\/span>s will dominate Pixar fan’s minds until the very end in anticipation for Best Picture. That’s because Up has been nominated for this year’s top prize! Pixar’s 10th film is also up for exciting categories<\/a> ranging from the super-competitive Best Animated Feature to the prestigious Original Screenplay and Score mentions. Make sure to watch the show tonight at 9:00 PM ET on VH1 and read through my last post on the subject<\/a> to see Up’s direct competition. <\/p>\n

Here’s something fun to do, you can vote for your favorite film in each category over at VH1’s official site<\/a>. Unfortunately, the poll is only for the purpose of illustrating public opinion and does not count (or reflect) in the official results. Let’s hope for the best, or should I say "Best" at tonight’s awards.<\/p>\n

As for the real winners, look out below! We’ll be updating live as Up’s categories are announced. When (and if) Pete Docter’s latest wins an award the "Nominated" title will change to "Winner":<\/p>\n

The 15th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards are presented by the Broadcast Film Critic’s Association<\/a>. Don’t miss the live telecast tonight starting at 9:00 PM ET on VH1. Check out all of the nominees (and eventually winners) here<\/a> and get ready for some tough competition!<\/p>\n

My thoughts:<\/strong> This is a supplement to what was written above from after the ceremony wrapped. I’m glad to say that Up won two awards at the CCMA<\/span>s! Although Up didn’t go home with Best Picture, the nomination is a landmark. This year’s Best Animated Feature category was also tougher than ever with exellent ‘toons like Fantastic Mr. Fox, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, The Princess and the Frog and Coraline! Glad to see Up go home with that one!! Michael Giachino once again is recognized for his great taste in music.<\/p>\n
