Bid for a Private Pixar Tour: <\/strong>Patton Oswalt, best known to Pixar fans as the voice of Remy, has teamed up with the LA Foodbank<\/a> for an opportunity no Pixar fan will want to pass up. The highest eBay bidder (here<\/a>) will win a private tour of the studio’s Emeryville campus. Who’s in?!<\/p>\n

WAFCA<\/span> Names TS3 Best Animated:<\/strong> The Washington DC Area Film Critics Association<\/a> just named its Best Animated Film of 2010<\/a>: Toy Story 3<\/em>! Although TS3 was also up for consideration in WAFCA<\/span>’s Best Picture category, the award went to The Social Network<\/em> instead. Congratulations, Lee Unkrich!<\/p>\n

Annie Nominations…:<\/strong> Who cares? But I suppose it’s news considering the big "Disney\/Pixar pulling out of the Annies<\/a>" announcement earlier this year. I promised that it would be our last post on the subject, but Toy Story 3<\/em> (Feature, Directing, Writing) and Day & Night<\/em> (Short) have been nominated<\/a>— and that’s notable. Brad Bird is also being honored, but we already knew he’s awesome. My verdict: Don’t pay any more attention to the Annies. Hypocrisy noted.<\/p>\n
