<\/a>Stars lined up on the "racetrack" carpet<\/a> for last night’s Hollywood premiere of Cars 2<\/em> at the El Capitan Theatre!<\/p>\n

Images from the event are beginning to appear online here<\/a> and there<\/a>, but the host theatre itself did the best job (so far) in documenting the festivities. Check out ElCapitanThtre on Twitter<\/a> for a nice overview in pictures.<\/p>\n

On the other side of the country, this blogger was invited to see a special press screening of Cars 2<\/em>. I’ll have a full review up soon, but in short, the film was an absolute step up from the original and I loved every minute of it. <\/p>\n

Cars 2<\/em> has genuine emotion and peril, tons of laughs and a beautiful message, but don’t take it from me! Check out what the first couple of reviews from the mainstream press have to say. Variety (full review<\/a>) called Cars 2<\/em> the "rare sequel that not only improves on but retroactively justifies its predecessor." The Hollywood Reporter’s (full review<\/a>) bottom line reads, "Lightning and Mater mix it up… in yet another Pixar winner." <\/p>\n

In my opinion, you’d be crazy to miss Cars 2<\/em>— it’s just a ton of fast-paced fun. Did I mention the stunning Brave<\/em> teaser is exclusively attached? Don’t even think about arriving late for this one…<\/p>\n
