<\/a>The 13th should be a good day for Pixar fans in the US, as Brave<\/em> and the second volume of Pixar Short Films Collection<\/em> both arrive on DVD<\/span> and Blu-ray in North America.<\/p>\n

Brave<\/em>, coming in standard <\/a>DVD<\/span><\/a>, 3-disc Blu-ray<\/a>, and 5-disc Blu-ray 3D <\/a>packages, includes the feature film, the new short film The Legend of Mor’du<\/em> (see the first stills at Entertainment Weekly<\/a>), and Enrico Casarosa’s La Luna<\/em>. The Blu-ray editions contain a second disc with a plethora of bonus features omitted from the standard DVD<\/span>. Blu-ray.com<\/a> and Examiner<\/a> both praise the pristine audio\/video quality and solid supplemental features, so this should be a near-perfect home video release as expected from Pixar. <\/p>\n

<\/a>Pixar Short Films Collection Volume 2<\/em> compiles twelve of Pixar’s newer shorts onto one disc (see the full selection on the DVD<\/span><\/a> and Blu-ray<\/a> Amazon pages) and also showcases student films from John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, and Pete Docter. DVD<\/span>izzy<\/a> and Blu-ray.com<\/a> suggest that this one isn’t a must-own, but Pixar loyalists should take interest in the audio commentaries and rare student films.<\/p>\n

Both of these titles will be available on Tuesday, November 13. Additionally, be on the lookout for the Finding Nemo<\/em> Blu-ray on December 4.<\/p>\n
