<\/a>With numerous reports<\/a> from Deadline and even statements <\/a>from Andrew Stanton himself, the controversial follow-up to 2003’s Finding Nemo<\/em> has been all but confirmed over the past few months. Further bolstering these rumblings, a new article from Deadline<\/a> states that Albert Brooks (Marlin) is set to return for the sequel.<\/p>\n

Brooks joins a growing cast and crew surrounding Nemo 2<\/em>, which includes <\/em>returning director Andrew Stanton, voice actress Ellen DeGeneres, and writer Victoria Strouse. His perfectly balanced role as Marlin was one of the best elements of the original, so his return brings some optimism with it; and, mercifully, it suggests that this won’t be the oft-rumored "Nemo’s son gets kidnapped" story. <\/p>\n

We’re still waiting for Disney to formally announce the project and pin a solid release date. For now, expect the sequel to hit sometime in 2016.<\/p>\n
