<\/a>Of all the composers behind Pixar’s musical scores, Thomas Newman may be one of the most beloved; his work on Finding Nemo<\/em> and WALL<\/span>-E <\/em>brought unparalleled emotional depth to those films. So it’s exciting to hear that he will once again be collaborating with the studio for The Good Dinosaur<\/em>! <\/p>\n

At a Le Moyne and Syracuse University event<\/a>, Newman revealed that The Good Dinosaur<\/em>‘s score will be his next project. He also spoke about the challenge of writing music for animation: “[Writing for] animation is a lot different. In live-action, you can settle on a mood or tone that lasts for a long time. In animation, the tone is shifting every two or three seconds. There’s a lot more writing, a lot more notes. It can be scary.”<\/em><\/p>\n

His music will undoubtedly bring plenty of life to Bob Peterson’s directorial debut, which is set to release on May 30, 2014. Read the synopsis below:<\/p>\n
