Fresh Air from WHYY<\/span><\/a>, <\/em><\/span>April 6, 2005 \u00b7 <\/span> Brad Bird is the writer and director of the Academy Award-winning computer animated Pixar film The Incredibles<\/i>, about a family of superheroes doing their best to blend into their suburban neighborhood by not using their powers. <\/p>\n Actors Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter and Samuel Jackson provided the voices, as well as Sarah Vowell, who also stars on This American Life<\/i>. The mix of everday settings and extraordinary abilities has turned the animated characters into celebrities, and a new Collector’s Edition DVD<\/span> of The Incredibles<\/i> is now available. <\/p>\n Bird previously directed the animated film The Iron Giant<\/i>.
