The reviews are in! Soul<\/em> has captivated the critics following its premiere at the London Film Festival. It’s being hailed as Pixar’s “most existentially ambitious film<\/a>,” one that will have adults sobbing “until their muscles ache<\/a>,” and it’s going to nourish your own soul<\/a>, too. After watching partial footage last month at the virtual press event, I wholeheartedly agree with everyone’s glowing reviews. And it’s made me, somehow, even more eager to see the rest. I’m also very encouraged by what Kaleem Aftab<\/a> wrote on IndieWire:<\/p>\n

Joe\u2019s blackness isn\u2019t relegated to a side issue; it\u2019s baked into the essence of the character, and treated as a crucial aspect of his humanity. To this end, \u201cSoul\u201d manages to juggle the surreal humor of \u201cInside Out\u201d in tandem with its most grounded, socially-conscious narrative ever, and it\u2019s a real wonder to watch those ingredients congeal.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That certainly is just one more thing to look forward to.\u00a0And though we still have to wait another two months to watch Soul<\/em>, there is a brand new trailer to tide us over until then!<\/p>\n
