2nd edition of Pixar Monopoly

Yay! I got it for Christmas! And I’ve played it like 5 or 6 times since then. Interesting thing about it though, when I opened it, there was no money! And yes it still had the shrink wrap and everything on it so it’s not like someone opened it and took the money out. It just didnt come with any! Kinda funny. I’ve been using the money from regular Monopoly.

I sure can. I rarely sit through an entire game.

When I play Pixar monopoly with my family, it can sometimes take up to one or two hours.

I know an effective strategy that always works for every monopoly game though.

Buying the cheapest properties (the two at the very beginning of the board) and building hotels on them?

That is one of the ways to win. But there is a small chance that they can land on them, and houses and hotels don’t pay that much. But if you can land a hotel on the pink and orange spots, then it makes winning the game for your opponents a lot harder. Because if they go to jail, and then get out, they have to go through the “danger zone” before going on to other property.

Yeah, that’s what other people do. Actually, if you get up to building hotels on the cheapest property and someone does land on it, then that is quite a lot of money. But yes, the chance of them landing on it isn’t as much since there are only two properties, and not the usual three.

Yeah from what I’ve read the oranges are the spots with the highest payout because they’re the ones landed on the most. To that end New York Avenue (or in this case the Eiffel Tower) is one of the most valuable spots to have.

The best monopoly to own is the green monopoly, since they are so expensive to land on, and since there’s three of them. But the best monopoly for the lowest price is the light blue monopoly. In between, which is sort of like the best, since people escaping from jail go there first, is what lennonluvr9 said: the orange properties.

My favorite property is the middle orange property.

My favorite property was the Purple (Parr’s HOuse and Insuricare) and Light Blue (Edna’s Mansion, Syndrome’s Island Bas, and Nomanisan) with the 1st edition Pixar Monopoly. :stuck_out_tongue:

Here’s a picture of the limited edition tinned Pixar Monopoly:

Oooh, I haven’t seen that cover before. Cool picture rachel.

rachel - Cool! Thank you for the image/picture, rachel.

I might consider buying the 2nd edition, I hope its eletronic.

I am happy with the edition I have. The 2nd edition takes out too many TI stuff on there. :unamused:

You should do an Incredibles Make Your Own-opoly, TSS.

I wish they’d do different Monopolys for each movie.

That way you’d get a lot more of whatever your fave is.

Including Cars was a good thing - that’s my fave of the Pixar movies, but I want tokens of my two faves…Doc and Guido!
