I’m a Lightning + Sally fan. And I want them to kiss in Cars 2. Hopefully, I’m not the only one.
I’m also a WALL•E + EVE fan, but there’s something about them that doesn’t really have that same feeling like in Cars. Like Andrew Stanton (or Ben Burtt) said, they’re not humans in a robot shell; they’re robots.

Now the question is, then what was EVE doing, smarty-pants?
I really don’t know, but it looked like EVE was bringing WALL•E back to the one that we all know and love, and she did that by zapping him?

Sadly, though I think it would be cool, I don’t think Lightning and Sally could kiss. Think about it. The shape of their face and body and also the lack of arms would make it way to awkward looking. 
I think they can kiss. If they have lips, then I believe they are able to kiss.

Maybe it was a special [spoil]robot kiss. Think about it: EVE is 700 years more advanced than WALL-E. that being true, WALL-E probably has a MUCH smaller storage capacity (as far as digital storage, such as 22nd century hard drives) than EVE. Perhaps when EVE was evaluating the level of threat he presented she downloaded his programming and the personality he had acquired over the years. Later in the movie when she zapped him, maybe she was updating him from his factory defaults back to his good ol’ self again!
I don’t really believe that, by the way…I think it was more of a reminder to WALL-E of his life…something that got him to access relevant information associated with EVE and what that spark may have been and in doing so triggered his full memory of his life and EVE’s involvement in it.

You assume Wall-E and EVE were not created around the same time? I doubt if they have the supplies to design and manufacturer robots while in space. They’re just designed for different tasks.
