An Incredible Thanksgiving

Yea I can’t watch movies on network tv anymore, they just ruin it. Im a preatty big movie buff, so to me it’s all about high quality DVD, Widescreen and no commercial breaks or annoying adds at the bottom of the screen.

Commercials, Pan and Scan this is no way to watch TI. Im a purist. If I have a movie on DVD I won’t watch it on TV.

I saw TI On Thanksgiving, but the way it was ment to be seen. I poped in my DVD on my 56 inch HD TV and Upconvert HD DVD Player and cranked up my 5.1 digital surround sound speakers. Now thats how you watch The Incredibles.

You said it!

That is one of the ways I saw TI on Thanksgiving out of three!

I enjoyed seeing the pan & scan cut up version simply because I’d never seen it that way before and it made me appreciate the quality of the original all the more.

Well, I managed to see it again on TV just about a couple hours ago. Just as enjoyable as the last one. In fact, I was helping my family decorate the tree when i saw it.

I managed to watch most of Saturday night’s airing. There are very few movies that will bring a smile to my face just thinking about them let along watching them. TI is one of them. And every time I watch, I learn. The way a character turns to do an jump or a run. The anticipation moment just before the reaction. A twitch or characteristics of a familiar face. The way a crowd character moves to avoid something that you wouldn’t notice unless you had your nose against the screen. It’s movies like Incredibles that make animation what I breath, think and live.

I was got back to school today, and guessed what everyone in my class asked me? They asked, “Did you see the Incredibles on Thanksgiving [TSS]?” I replied in three ways: “Are you kidding me?” “Not only Thanksgiving, but on Saturday too.” and “For a grand total of [forgot the number] of times all throughout the weekeng”

College life is gonna be harsh, dude. :stuck_out_tongue:

Is it hard to be a Pixar-fanatic-college-student?

Off-topic: I know PV. I am stressing out over applications, scholarships, and other college stuff right now.

But still, next year might be hard, but I’ll find time to watch TI.

Actually, TSS, my college comment was NOT off-topic.

Not normally.

I thrive on it! =D

Well, I’ll manage to Pixar and college when I get there.

Worked for me . Works even better at an art school.

Okaaaay, I see now that the point of my college comment has been totally missed.

Moving on…

I caught it. It was fun seeing it on tv. Really nice they didnt cut out anything. I was sitting there too, just waiting for them to dub Syndrome’s “busaayy” line, but thankfully they didnt.

TSS- Wow, 3 times in one day! I too gotta say, good luck with that in college. Thanksgiving break for me is spent doing final projects and papers and getting ready for finals. I wish I had time to watch even 3 movies in one day but I just dont have time with school and work.

lennonluvr: Well, next year might turn to once a day w/ college and stuff. But as long as I get my TI viewing time, then I’m good.

To quote Anton Ego, “I’ll provide the perspective”.

There is far more to life than The Incredibles, TSS. :stuck_out_tongue: I mean, I am as big an Incredibles fan as they come, but I don’t watch it every single day (as you claim doing) because the real world doesn’t allow for it. I didn’t even watch the entire film on Thanksgiving Day because it would’ve been rude to isolate myself from my family.

I love that quote! Anyway, I love to watch Pixar films (especially in French XD), but I also need time for other things…like Pixar Planet!
