Any concerns for the movie?

I want to see it in a theater full of people. I’m strange this way, but I like when a theater is crowded, and long as people shut up. I like o hear their reations to things.

I wonder if I can get mom to take me to a midnight airing if they have one…

Absolutely no concerns at all! I was worried about Ratatouille and that completely blew me away! After that, Pixar could say they’re redoing Wizard of Oz with forest animals, talking bacteria, and a magical slinky and I would still be at the first showing expecting a mesmerizing movie.

Fett101: 8D I know!

Off topic:
Netbug, the most cooperative (silent) full showing I’ve ever been to was Indy 4 on Memorial Day. I anticipated screaming babies and little kids, but the audience was all 12+! (but LotR, War of the Worlds and King Kong were replete with children. Why?)
At Ratatouille I was sitting in a row of teenagers (at the $1 theater with plenty of returning adults), but I just know WALL-E will be a giggle-fest!

I’m not expecting a sequel for this, especially after reading the novelisation. I’m just worried that fat people are going to take offence at the humans in the film, as well as maybe CEOs of large companies.

Funny: XD Yeah, true. If worse comes to worse, I plan on seeing it a second time anyway if it’s half as good as I’m betting it will be. I’ll like, wait a week or something. Oh, ad you have a 1 dollar theater nearby!? Lucky.

Ryan: Careful waving around the novelization or hinting what happens. Sorry if I sound naggy, i’m just spoiler paranoid. O.o

Anyways, yeah. I’m not worried for this movie at all. Bring it on!

Call me a little pessimistic but…

Pixar has always raised the bar after each film. Each movie has gotten better and better, in terms of both animation and story. Now I’m beginning to wonder if perhaps that bar is too high for them to reach now. The animation already looks wonderful, but can they master body language, silent filming, educational message, and a superb story at the same time? AND can they keep going on after this, making things that are bigger and better?

Pixar has been on a winning streak, but I keep wondering if perhaps in the near future they will drop the ball, much like Disney did. This is the last idea of the original bunch that got together. (not that I am saying that you can’t have good ideas from different people - it’s just that some people have the magic touch for certain things.)

Time will tell, but I really hope my concerns are unwarranted.

And for my two cents about the point they are making relating to obesity and sluggishness - I think that if Pixar doesn’t shove it down the audience’s throat and make a HUGE deal about it (such as Happy Feet), it will be fine.

Yup, I have faith in Pixar (no matter my apprehension) and will be at the theaters the day Wall E is released in my area. :sunglasses:

Why is that? Something you didn’t like about Ratatouille?

It just was that I decided that upon that, even though Ratatouille was one of my favorites, I have reached my peak of Supporting Cgi Movies, it was not anything that ratatouille did, it was just A decision to stop after that one that’s all.

Even my last tv CGIs is Storm Hawks and Speed Racer TNG, and as for even some of the cartoons on tv now an days. Im about to give up on all Animation,Traditional Animation and CGI both, I know it’s not happy news for Disney and Pixar,Dreamworks,BlueSky ect. is it.

If truth be told I am not really inpressed with anything coming to theathers from 2008- 2013 by Disney, Pixar,Dreamworks as well, what I am looking for in Animation Traditional or CGI,cant be found for my audiance (Meaning Drama and Spiritual and Action ect. based, none teens only, comdey only or mostly), and my,others liking and appeal.

So Im going to have to bail out, I realize this world dont want to Create and Make the Cartoons and Animated Features I,others Dream of wanting to see.

I too am more into 2D animation, but IMO, in the end the story is what matter the most. Plus PIXAR actually makes CG look good. XD
