Yeah, most people have a better time than I do with round shapes, I’m much better at drawing Carl than Russell. In fact, Russell is a NIGHTMARE for me to draw right. Still, I hope your art turns out well!

Russell in an Incredibles costume. Really hard to make him look recognizable in stuff other than his explorer uniform but I did rather well IMO
especially considering this is done from memory as I was too lazy to check…
Badger: Wow! Those are really great drawings! Dug looks pretty cute in that drawing, Russell looks pretty neat in that Incredibles outfit and, why is Russell with a snake? (what the heck? ) Anyways, Badger, just keep on drawing, because you’re doing a fine job indeed!

I like your style, Badger! It’s very sweet and creative. I love your sketch of dug, and mixing Up with The Incredibles seems to work very well! You’re right, without his Wilderness Explorer costume, it’s difficult to make Russell recogniseable, but I think you’ve managed it. Part of me thinks he needs to be a little chubbier, though. I’m looking forward to seeing more artwork from you in the future!

I was googling the Art of Up, and I came across this expression sheet of Russell… and one of his expressions amused me so, I had to draw it.

Dude… I must draw more. And I even got the Art of Up yesterday… got some awesome drawings, that. And it told about the film’s amazing symbolism… [spoil]Like how when Carl met Ellie, she became the colour in his life. When she died it was all drab and grey, but whenever Russell was on screen, he’d bring some of Ellie’s colour back to Carl’s life. I thought that was really sweet.[/spoil]

Dang, I should really try to draw the rest of the Up gang instead of just focusing on Russell here… but I really wanna nail his anatomy down, because he’s, like, the cutest thing since baby skunks. lol.
