Behind the Scenes of Ratatouillle

Omg, that’s so cool! xD Thanks for the link, JV!

I’ve been begging for some time now to at least go to Disney World, but that ain’t happening this summer. Someday, I may go to DisneyLand- I can only hope ^^

That looks so cool! It looks just like the movie! Thanks alot JV.

Hey guys they’ve uploaded another podcast to Youtube. Finally, one with John Lasseter!

Podcast #12: The Scene Stealers

Hey, I love this podcast. Thanks FONY. I really enjoyed watching it.

OK, I know you guys are gonna hate me 'cause I’m giving you a link to a video that is in another language, so you’re not gonna understand anything, but please forgive me! hides :unamused:

But, I mean, take a look at this guy. He’s the Brazilian voice of Linguini:

Doesn’t this actor actually look like Linguini?! Take a look at his hair!

Maggie - Haha. Well, umm, his hair is rather similar to Linguini’s…in a way! It sounds like he had fun voicing his character. Heheh. (snigger)

Thanks for the link!

No no no no no no no!! I’m just about ready to to throw my hands up in despair here. BVI just sent me some ratatouille material and I went to their site, InCinemas.com.au, and it now lists Ratatouille for an Australian Release date as Sept 6. This sucks. This really really sucks. :frowning:

Yeah, I just looked over at IMDb, and they’re saying the same thing there- 6th of September for Australia. Does that mean that they changed the release date, or that it was mistaken in the first place? Sorry to hear that for you guys. :frowning:

There, there. It’s only week. But it is disheartening to be treated like a less important country, in BVI’s eyes, though. And if they delay it any further, I will scream.

I don’t know how they prioritise these things…I mean, like for example, Slovenia as a country is getting Ratatouille a fair while before the Australians and British do, which I can’t understand. There must be some kind of logic behind the release dates.

bawpcwpn - The only explaination I can unveil behind this madness is the mere fact that Disney wishes to make a good profit out of the film by releasing it several weeks/months apart from one country and its international counterparts. In doing this, one country will contribute a generous amount of dollars to the never-ending financial income of the film for a solid month, until the next month…when another (perhaps neighboring) country/continent will receive the film and then pour in more dough, raising the overall profit of the production to a monstrous extent.

Still, it does, indeed, suck like yesterday’s burnt potato waffle chips that you Australians have to wait an extra week for the film to hit your area. It’s only a week, but it’s an extended time limit nonetheless. It sucks, man! :frowning:

I am revising this thread from the dead…

Soooo, I happen to be a member of the “Disney Movie Rewards” club, in that, if you’re a member, you trade in codes for free points to obtain things. To exaggerate upon this, here’s how the “system” works:

  1. Some Disney DVDs include a Disney Movie Rewards code inside, and the ones that contain this code will most likely wear a little tag/sticker on the front that announces this.

  2. After (or if) you purchase the DVD, you can go to the Disney Movie Rewards website, log in, and enter your given code in the little box on the right-hand side of the screen. Depending on the film that hosts the code, you can earn as much as 75-200 points or more. The more points you have, the more stuff you can purchase for “free”.

Members not only collect points, but they are also entitled to special benefits such as behind-the-scenes features, exclusive wallpapers, and more. Well, I entered my Meet the Robinsons code not a few minutes ago, and what should I see on my member benefit’s page than a little thingy-ma-jiggy announcing an exclusive clip from the Ratatouille DVD…

Now, only members are supposed to see this, buuut:

Disney Movie Rewards - Member Benefits Page

Within the box entitled “Clips”, click on the high-res or low-res resolution version under “Clip 2”. Up pops a box that displays an exlusive clip from the Ratatouille DVD. It’s approxiamately 3-5 minutes long and shows how the animators of the film constructed an entertaining little moment in the movie. (The clip centers upon Linguini…and Lou Romano also makes an appearance in the clip, you Linguini fans…)

It’s my benefit page; I can show it to whomever I want and Disney can’t stop me! :stuck_out_tongue:

If, for some reason, you can’t access the page or the video clip itself, just PM me and I’ll see whether or not I can fix that for you.

bawpcwpn - If you are reading this, please feel free to post the link to that website on your blog. Unless displaying this information would get you into trouble, I have no problem with you using the link in question.

– Mitch

Hehehe, thanks Mitch, however unless you are a member, that part of the site doesn’t seem to work.

bawpcwpn - It doesn’t? Ah, dang it! Oh well. I guess I could always… Naaah, I don’t want to get in trouble with the law. (snigger)

Well, I’m sorry the link doesn’t work, guys! Trust me to over-estimate. :stuck_out_tongue:

Too bad I don’t buy enough Disney dvds to be able to get any good points from potentially signing up to that rewards thing. :unamused: Just another way to keep me from seeing my precious extras. Guess it’s all Youtube/websites for Ratatouille stuff until they release some super special edition that won’t be out for another year.

(Yeah, I’m kinda bitter about the whole 1 DVD thing for Ratatouille in a few weeks.)
