What’s wrong with the Ice Age sequels? I think they’re an example of very few sequels(particularly animated) that I can bear to watch. I love Dawn of the Dinosaurs ; it’s just so funny (except that I hated Scrat’s girlfriend).
I like Blue Sky! Ice Age is my favorite non-Disney related animated movie. Horton Hears a Who! was really good as well. And I am excited for Rio. Parrots are my favorite birds, and I LOVE Brazil. It’s my dream to go to Rio de Janeiro someday. I enjoyed the trailer they released of Rio, execpt for George Lopez being in it. I’m not the biggest Georgie L. fan.
Robots was okay; it had some pretty stellar visuals. Ice Age 2 was okay at best, but mostly meh. Horton was obnoxious, though that might just be because some stupid family wouldn’t take their crying baby out of the fracking theater. It was not a fun experience, at all.
I also hate the 2D “anime daydream” scene.
Well, I haven’t seen Horton Hears a Who!, but if you’re comparing it in a Dr. Suess sense and not Blue Sky, you’ll probably admit that it’s way better and more faithful than that live-action Cat in the Hat.
I thought Horton was awesome. All those little details and those random characters. xD
Why’s everyone so angry about George Lopez doing a voice? I’ve never heard of him, obviously, but I don’t mind. Heck, back when I went to see Bolt I was horrendously annoyed by the fact that Miley Cyrus was doing a voice but I got over it, she acted pretty well. So yeah, I’d advice you all to wait and see.
He’s like the ‘Nicholas Cage’ of animated movies at the moment. Besides voicing the hero protagonist in Beverly HIlls Chihuahua, he’ll also be in Marmaduke and The Smurfs, with Rio neatly sandwiched in the middle. Personally I don’t mind the dude, I didn’t even know of his existence until people pointed it out in comments for the Rio trailer.
You should really watch the whole thing. I assure you it may look childish, but it’s Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs kinda childish (ie fun and just plain zany). Has a pretty good storyline, too, though you can tell they had to pad out a 20 page book to fit a 2-hour movie. But really, you should give it a chance if you ever see it again.
Hey, I loved watching Speedy when I was a kid! I didn’t know he was getting his own movie!
Heh, people used to tease my name but pronouncing it like his catchphrase: [spoil]“Andale! Andale! Yeepa! Yeepa!”[/spoil]
But, really, I don’t have a problem with Mr. Lopez. He’s a pretty okay voice actor.
Besides the fact that George Lopez is definitely overdoing it with his number of voice acting projects lately. But, hey, the companies want him, he wants to do it, and he doesn’t do a terrible job at what he does. Granted, I couldn’t stand that live action dog movie of his but otherwise I’ve never minded his acting in animation. As for providing the voice of Speedy I just hope that he pitches up his voice and acts. I hope he was hired for his talent and not because they wanted a famous ethnic icon to do the part.
