What books?
The one for school is the five people you meet in heaven. Not far so dont tell me anything!
and the one for fun Is the second book if the maximum ride series by james patterson called Schools Out Forever The title makes more sence if you read the first one. Have you?
Nope. Never read it.
It’s one of my least favorite times of the year - buying college textbooks!
I bought a text book for reading class… Why do I need a textbook for reading class?
I dont know but I have one too! we nrver use it and their from 1982
or at least thats when the first person put the date in there
I am reading the Rode Code for New Zealand.
whats that about? Is it good?!
Got my college books today.
If you are talking to me, it is talking about the rules about driving and all that kind of stuff. I love it.
I hated the book about how to drive. It wasn’t really existing.
We had this huge, intense textbook in addition to the book of state regulations in my driver’s ed class. The most vivid memory I had of the class was our teacher, a grumpy and intimidating gym teacher, telling us a story of a guy who thought she cut him off on the road. He was so angry that he kept following her car. So, she pulled over and he did the same. She grabbed a baseball bat from her back seat, jumped out of the car, and shook the bat at him, yelling, “You want a piece of this?!” The guy, who had gotten out of his car, jumped back in and drove off. She was quite a scary woman, too, and I wouldn’t at all put this past her
I feel like driving books are quite similar to Quidditch through the Ages in Harry Potter. Quidditch was the one thing Hermione couldn’t learn from a book, but that didn’t stop her from trying. You can try to prepare for driving, and the reading does help, but you still won’t know how to drive until you actually sit behind the wheel. Which is why I practically had a breakdown the first time I drove, even after all of that
Haha.
Hehee I have that bok!
I do actually love the Road Code for some reason.
^^Oh, driving books can be interesting! Especially after you’ve started driving- everything makes more sense. There’s nothing wrong with them. Honestly, I’m sure all of us could learn a thing or two and we’d be better drivers if we just went back and glanced through the books again. I just never enjoyed them too much because we’d have to study large portions and spit out facts for tests.
Yeah I know. New Zealand has rubbish drivers here.
Moreso than other places? Because oblivious and inconsiderate people are everywhere, so I’d imagine that bad drivers are a global epidemic. Though some places are definitely worse than others- New York City, for example. The cab drivers nearly run you over. But some of that comes from the city just being so congested.
I hate Bus and Taxi drivers they are probably the worst on the street.
True, true, though if we had to drive those massive buses, we’d probably be terrible drivers, too. I can’t even imagine trying to drive a bus. It’d come back with some major dents, that’s for sure. I could probably drive the Knight Bus, though
Hmm, we should probably get back on topic… I’m trying to push through Mansfield Park. Again. It’s the third time I’ve gotten it from the library in the last two years, but I can never seem to finish it. Maybe the whole first cousin romance thing just puts me off, I dunno. I just want to finish it so I can cross all the Jane Austen novels off my list.
