Ok alright. But I do like old type of movies.
I like SOme old movies…
some are just right out horrible…
But then others cant be beat,
Their will always be good and bad movies. Same goes for books.
I always think some movies are based of a book but some are complete rubbish.
I agree. I hate it when they change a lot from the book to the movie.
Yeah you are right.
So, I finished the Steve Jobs book. I’d give it an A. It’s great if you’re into that kinda stuff, but if not, then don’t read. There are some tidbits about Pixar in it that I haven’t previously read in books like The Pixar Touch. It’s a great book. There’s some foul language in it, but it’s still really good. Now, I’m gonna read Sweetness, a biography of former Chicago Bears RB Walter Payton.
I think I might’ve heard about Steve Jobs.
He was the owner of Apple. He also worked for Pixar. He died last October.
Oh yeah he was. How could I forget.
I hadnt heard of him till about three months before he passsed. So dont worry about it PT
HEHE can I call you that?
Currently re-reading To Infinity and Beyond right now. Incredibly good. Makes me sad to read the parts about Steve Jobs now, though ![]()
Has anyone ever kept their old textbooks from school?
Yes, we have a younger sister, so they were always handy.
Yep you can.
I have one called Silver BurDett: Science and Heath Social Studies: Homes and Neighborhoods. There both from 1987.
I finished reading “The Novice” the scond book of a trilogy by Trudi Caravan.
Unusually I actually didn’t care all that much for the first book? So it was possible I wouldn’t have read this one. But I kept reading because I heard good things. The second one exceeded my expectations and I found it to be enjoyable. Granted this may be because while the first book had its moments I can relate more to her when she’s getting picked on in book 2 even if I wasn’t picked on for the same reasons at school. Shame I didn’t have any of her magical abilities though. lol. But yeah in the end it does, given the set up of the first book, seem realistic that girl from the slums is maliciously treated by spoiled children of richer families, especially given the fact in her world there’s such thing as a ‘Purge’ of the streets of beggars and thieves etc from the Magicians Guild and everyone rich views those of the slums as inferior or unworthy.
So I’ll be buying the third book when I can.
I’m trying to get my head around the political nature in Animal Farm. ![]()
I love Animal Farm!
I read that J.K. Rowling is writing a new book but for adults.
