Cars 2 having story issues, so John Lasseter is back in Emeryville fixing stuff up.
Maybe as a tribute to Paul Newman, the Doc will also die in the movie, and it will be a sad moment, with speeches from the cars that allude to the actual death of Newman. But before the death, the whole world grand prix tournament had already been announced and Doc Hudson was going to be McQueen’s crew chief. But since Doc dies, McQueen decides to call off his participation in the tournament. However, maybe all of the cars convince Lightning to go because it was what Doc would have wanted. Lightning realizes that this is true and decides to go and win in the name of Doc Hudson. Perhaps this is a part where the humor starts kicking in and Mater is the most logical choice to be the new chief. This will put both of them in A LOT of pressure, which gives the story a lot more potential.
Elee-V: That would be a great way for the storyline to go! How did I not think of that, a Paul Newman tribute!
Thanks for the link, E.S. That’s pretty worrying indeed, but knowing what Pixar is capable of (they redid TS2 in a year, and fixed last-minute plot issues with Finding Nemo and Wall-E), I have faith in them. Ya gotta believe!
Fantastic idea, Elee-V. There would be motivation for the R.Springs team to do their best in memory of Doc, and like you said, has a lot of story potential. Maybe you should suggest that to Mr Lasseter, heheh?
Is it called Cars 2 or Cars 2: World Grand Prix?
It Depends I mean if Doc in the movie or not.
For me, I don’t wanna see Doc broken or see how he was killed
But who knows whats going to happen
