Do you mean Merida?
Yeah, its “Merida” instead of Meredith. I noticed on one of the links on the first page has her name as Meredith which I thought was pretty funny.
I did also have Charles trying to shoot Carl, murder a little boy by letting him plunge down to the earth and so on.
That’s probably where I got the name from, hahaha. Fail Haystack, FAIL.
But yeah, I do mean Merida.
I can’t wait too.
You know, it’s weird. In the UK release, The Incredibles and Up got U ratings (which is the same as a G rating), and Toy Story and Cars got PG ratings…which I think are perhaps two of the most child-centric of all Pixar films…
I definatley think a PG for Brave though. It looks like theres going to be a lot of bow-and-arrow play
Also hope for Sword.
Whoa! That’s like completely backwards from the ratings here! What does ‘U’ stand for? Universal?
I think the U rating stands for Suitable for all ages like the same thing for our rated G in the states. UK’s film ratings are kind of weird in a way.
Yep, U is the same as a G. And I have no idea how the ratings work but sometimes I think they get it wrong. A lot of PG and PG-13 films in the US get 15-ratings, and yet a lot of R films in the US get PG or 12 ratings. It’s really weird.
Have you guys ever seen a film and then walked out thinking that theres no way that film should’ve been rated the way it was?
The only one I can think of right now is Gremlins. There was alot of gore along with some terror involved. I say it should of gotten at least a PG-13 rating. I believe it was alongside this and a couple of other movies from the mid 80’s that influenced the MPAA to develop the PG-13 rating.
I think some films that involve young people and are quite ideological, but have a lot of strong language and/or innapropiate scenes get a hrad time, and very often they’re on the 15/18 borderline. Some films that star younger actors, like This Is England, Fish Tank and Veronica Guerin, and films that we had to study when I did Film Studies for AS level (don’t ask ), like American Beauty and A Clockwork Orange, all got 18 ratings. Which I find just a little bit weird because I think they’re all good films for a sensible teenager
I also find it a little bit amusing when parents complain of animated films being “too scary and unsuitable” and don’t even check the age ratings. Coraline got a PG, 9 got a 12, and Persepolis got a 15, and yet they all had complaints from teachers and parents who had taken their 7 year old with the logic that because it’s a cartoon it must be for kids.
HUGE NEWS!!!
That is great news. Thanks for putting it up pixarfan9099.
Wow, thats great news! I’m glad they’re going to be using the Pizza Planet Truck in this film.
Wow, I’ve been pronouncing that wrong this whole time!
there were three clips from brave shown at the d23 expo.
if you want to know what they were, cinema blend has a summary of all three.
and reading them, merida sounds amazing in archery.
Thanks for the link.
Thanks for the link! I thought that [spoil]Merida’s challenge to the three lord’s sons[/spoil] was funny. Anyone notice how the first description of the clip looks similar to one of the concept art pictures?
How else would Merida be pronounced? But anyway, truck FTW!!
