Yes, after John Lasseter was, as co-director.

And I wouldn’t want Merida to have a love interest, personally.

Actually we had a bunch of good snow in Monsters, Inc. But more would be goo. Maybe we’ll still get at least a scene.

Now, I have two prayers to the goddess Película:

-First, please let this Mordu bear be another character and not[spoil]Queen Elinor as stated before. Let everyone remain in their original states.[/spoil]

-Second, I would be very grateful if Merida does NOT have any kind of romantic feelings towards anyone. Please, let her be an independent female character, without the boring need of love traditionally associated with princesses.

I’ll be very interested with what Pixar does with their first female protagonist. Like everyone said, I hope she doesn’t have a love interest like every Disney princess had.

Or make her a girly girl. But the trailer say’s she isn’t.

Oh yes, you’re right. I forgot about that.

And I’m the same way. I don’t care either way about a love interest for her. But if she doesn’t have one, that’s great. Let her be strong, and not dependant on a relationship just because she’s female.

 I’m sure there’s no chance of her having a prince, anyway. I just wish there was. I don’t mean to be an idiot, or down on what will make most people love this movie. It just takes away a lot of the fairy tale-esque feeling I would personally enjoy. Just me, though. Just because one person is bored doesn’t stop them from winning critics and the box office. 8D

^ I know what you mean. I personally like an unusual princess once in a while, but I still do love a classic fairy tale princess story.

Wonder would Ariel thinks now with another redhead in the group.

I hope Merida is strongwilled rather than just bratty like Ariel was (yeah, there is a difference)

Good, I’m not the only one who saw Ariel as bratty.

I agree she can be annoting sometimes.

I managed to find some concept art of Brave that they showed at the D23 Expo. I could only find it on this youtube video.

WOW. That concept art is incredible! My excitement for this movie has just gone right up. I especially love the art for the witch - she looks like a very interesting character! ;-p And the detail they’ve put into Queen Elinor’s dress is awesome :open_mouth:

Oh My Cod. I am in love with this movie already, just based off of all that concept art! I love Queen Elinor’s dress. I also like the sketch of [spoil]Merida pointing a sword at Elinor.[/spoil]

So far the movie looks great.

Well, that confirmed that the one-legged man is the King.

That concept art looks wonderful!

I used to hate Ariel. Like, I couldn’t stand her. Like Nemo. But I’ve recently been rewatching the Disney renaissance films, and personally, I like her a lot better now. She is very selfish in the movie, but some Pixar protagonists are EXACTLY the same. It’s just less obvious because they’re male. And in Pixar movies. 8D

But, personally, Merida reminds me more of Helen Parr and sort of kind of Rapunzel(don’t call me crazy please!) than Ariel. Past the hair coloration, I see no Ariel there.

And of course people find Ariel annoying, just like my dad finds Belle annoying. I’m not saying anybody is wrong. Or trying to sound like a hypocrite. That’s just my personal opinion at the moment.

I don’t think Nemo is like Ariel. He has a pretty good behavior during most of the film. Actually, he only commits one guilty act.

I read on Cracked that Ariel is a Hoarder.
