Central Cars 2 Discussion (Part 2)

Yeah, I’ve got a Wii so I really want to buy some of the Cars video games for it. Though the plot is usually the same anyways.

Yeah, there pretty much like the movie as far as the plots in the game.

I love that part!

“Remember the first time we came up here?”
“You mean, the first time you tricked me into a race.”
laugh I did do that, didn’t I?”
“I’ll never forget it.”

D’awwwwwwwwwww. <3 The scenes before and after Sally’s race against Mia and Tia were awesome too.

Awwww, I would of still liked to see that. :frowning:

I had the PSP first Cars game which was like the worst compared to the console games and there was no free-roam. The good thing was that you could play as anybody you wanted, like up to 15 characters. I always played as Sally, duh. And the racing is a lot more fun and challenging than the console games. But I have a Wii also and I really want the Cars 2 video game.

Yeah! That is exactly the part I mean!

I found the first set of games to be fine but it has gone down-hill ever since. Race-O-Rama for PS2 was by far the worst. I can’t even explain how the graphics were. How about you go buy Cars 2 for Wii and then tell me how it is? I don’t want to buy it unless I am sure it is good, after ROR I was fairly peeved off.

Just out of curiousity, are any of the Cars video games worth getting?

Any of the earliest ones, yes, I think so. Especially the PS2 one, you literally get to explore the entire area of Radiator Springs, it’s great. Once you get into Maternational and beyond though, don’t waste your time.

Alright, I’ll probably consider getting the original Cars game for my old PS2. I wasn’t really impressed with the Cars 2 game after watching some gameplay fottage.

Ahh, I see; using me as the guinea pig. I’m actually going to buy the Just Dance 2 video game like…right now. I’ll see if I can slip the Cars 2 video game in there. 8D

I’m probably going to drop my grade down for Cars 2 to a “C+” now. It’s an pretty average movie but it’s not the awful film that alot of the critics think it is.

Another topic: This isn’t mainly about Cars 2 but cars in general so it shall go here. Does the make of the car automatically, without question, define their heritage? No matter things like their last names? For instance, Luigi is a Fiat. Fiats are Italian cars and Luigi is Italian and has no last name. Okay. Finn is an Aston Martin. Aston Martins are British cars and McMissile is a made-up name but it’s particulary British. Good. And then I thought of Sally and I was like, “Oh. Carrera is an Italian name but…Porsche is a German car.” Does that mean that she’s Italian and German? Or is there no correlation? You guys are probably like " :open_mouth: …What are you talking about? Shut up." Bottom line: Do cars makes determine their heritage? Or can you be a Mercedes-Benz and not be even 1% German?

Guys, I also just wanted to say that I saw a green Gremlin today. It was pretty legit, I never saw one before. :sunglasses:

Yes, that would be amazing if you played guinea pig. I’m saving up for a laptop (which is basically taking me an eternity but I am finally getting there) so I’m on a super tight budget. Like last week I wouldn’t even let myself buy popcorn at the movies, I only had a smoothie. So spending money on a video game right now? No way!

Your question about the heritage though…short answer; no, better answer; it depends. I mean, I think it does play a minor role in their background but just like in the real world I think it could depend on many many factors. I think it is completely possible for someone to have a last name that isn’t necessarily connected to their heritage. It is kind of hard to explain and I’m getting confused thinking about it but I don’t think the make decides their heritage. If we are using Sally as an example, she may be a German car but she clearly does not come from that culture, same with her last name.

I don’t even know what to say here… 8D

I’m not too worried about the score RT gave it. Besides, the average score on there for Cars 2 is a 5.5/10 so that isn’t a failure to me.

Saving up for a laptop? That’s awesome! Hard work, all the way! Well, my mom totally put back the video game so this is SallyMcQueen and the mission for the video game went pear-shaped. Like that reference? You know you do.

Thanks for answering my obviously very weird question. I had it in my head for a while but didn’t want to ask due to people being like “That’s a weird/dumb/illiterate” question. o_0

I believe that your last names do always match up with your heritage, You know, unless you’re adopted or something like that. I’m not putting down what you’re saying- that’s just what I believe. The hard part is that last names tend to change every generation with marriages and surnames.

My grandma got me a Cars 2 poster as a random present! It’s hanging on the back of my door. It’s huge, it takes up half the surface area of my door.

Thats cool EJE! What Cars 2 poster did your grandma give you?

eje: That’s so cool! :sunglasses: What does it look like?

Sorry to double post.

I was just wondering if anyone actually suspected that Axlerod was the main bad guy? I know I didn’t.

Not really. The whole time I was expecting Zundapp and his lemons to be the main villians. Axlerod is another one of those “wait and see” villians.

I did! You can see my posts in the first Cars 2 discussion board when the character was revealed by Pixar.

Here’s one of my very old posts:
viewtopic.php?f=21&t=7808&p=273082&hilit=miles#p273082

Two reasons why I suspected:

1- They revealed he was voiced by Eddie Izzard 8D

2- I’m into spy films. When you have a British guy who owns an oil plant but supposedly wants to change it for alternative fuel, he can’t be up to no good. And I was right about his evil plot.

Geeze, I would of never predicted that! Those are some really good points.
