Central Cars 2 Discussion

I hope they include the movies that weren’t on the original one, but I don’t think they’ll do the John Ratzenberger joke again.

yeah, that would look repetitive if they make something similar, but if they do I hope to see the main characters, I mean Wall-E, Eve, Remy, Emile (this one would be fantastic, Carl, Dug, Rusell and Kevin, about TS3 not sure, we already know that a short film is atteched to the film, sounds redounding, but happy if they include them

on the other hand I expect to see more of the story at the end, how the characters develop their lives after the World Grand Prix, I am just guessing ;-p

^ Don’t forget The Incredibles and Finding Nemo!

sure, but it looks more difficult to find them now, I mean, I never knew the reason why Pixar excluded The Incredibles and Nemo in the credits of the first Cars, I think that if they repeat the same formula they would use the characters from their recent films,

on the other hand if we analize closely A Bug’s Life, Toy Story and Monsters Inc. are very close projects of John Lasseter, I know he is the Excecutive Producer of ALL Pixar Films, but he has been more involved to those movies including Cars (Director) than Nemo and The Incredibles

I wish they would do their bloopers again.

SORRY Guys for the repeating posts, my computer suffered a lapsus,

I think the reason they left TI and FN out in the first one was because the whole point of the thing was to make the John Ratzenberger joke, and his participation on those two movies is very short and the characters not as memorable.

I think they still can do The Incredibles, maybe using the Incredicar. And they can use submarines, or something like that for Finding Nemo.

Guys, if you want you can read this interesting article from BoxOfficeMojo, it talks about the animation films for this 2011

here is the LINK:

Yeee haaaaawwww!

“This film is expected to make a truckload of money”

Haha, Car related puns! Man, I’m excited for the 2011 animated feature season! (But not as excited as I was for the 2010 one, but still. Can’t wait)

I see this year a little more interesting than 2010, off course most of 2010 used to be unknown after their respective releases and WoM

what I expect the most are:

  1. CARS 2 (this is obvious)
  2. TinTin (childhood tv series + Steven Spielberg)
  3. Winnie The Pooh (it deserves a viewing that makes me remind my childhood, despite the fact that I have’t seen anything of it for years)
  4. Arthur Christmas (Chicken Run, Wallace and Gromit, what else can I say)
  5. Happy Feet 2 (I really want an improve from the first film)
  6. Rango (Jack Sparrow)
  7. Gnomeo and Juliet (looks funny, but I am not expecting a well done screenplay)
  8. Kung Fu Panda 2 (looks like more of the same (sypnosis) but I’m hoping to see at least something descent)
  9. Rio (only interested to know how the original Newt story fits in this film)
  10. Puss in Boots (more shrek, nnnnnooooooooo)
  11. Mars Needs Mom (looks silly, but I’ll be watching this)

Rio is produced by Blue Sky. It is one of those coincidental ‘same storyline’ phenomenon like ‘The Wild’ and ‘Madagascar’ or ‘Happy Feet’ and ‘Surf’s Up’. Blue Sky did not intentionally set out to copy Pixar, although Pixar did speak to them about it and decided to graciously give Saldhana the honour of realising his vision because it is a very personal film to him (He’s a Brazilian native).

Thanks for the link to Box Office Mojo, though! I bet Pixar is gonna be another podium finish at the box-office. Dreamworks may make more moolah because it is ‘cheating’ with two films, though…

Happy Feet 2? Are you serious? Ugh…I thought I erased that movie from my mind. Kung Fu Panda 2 sounds like and OK idea and I really am looking forward to Cars 2 and Puss in Boots.

Do you not like Happy Feet either? Oh my goodness, everyone loves that movie so much, and I thought it was incredibly boring. You’re like the only other person I met who doesn’t like it!

I think it’s interesting that Cars 2 and Happy Feet 2 are coming out in the same year, just like how their originals came out in the same year as well.

Coinkidinkally, I rewatched Happy Feet on Free-To-Air last Saturday. I still enjoy it, and it still remains a technical and narrative feat for me even today (although the opening scene really looks like a video game by today’s standards, I’m still blown away by the environmental effects).

A lot of people claims it has a left-wing slant and all that, and while the ending might have been a little convenient, I don’t see what’s wrong with preserving the environment. It’s not like they didn’t hint the audience about the human’s presence or the overfishing throughout the movie… so the ending was its only natural conclusion. The only thing I didn’t like about the movie was the aquarium scene… that bit was too scary and didn’t fit the mood of the film.

I’m really looking forward to Happy Feet 2, though like much of the sequels of the year, I thought their predecessors were pretty tied-up and conclusive.

Happy Fee was a Techniacal Masterpiece, but it had a failure of a storyline.

NOW, it’s the time of the REVENGE, Cars 2 For The WIN (Oscars 2012, I am looking at YOU)

Happy Feet was an average film, just good and descent, NOTHING is like Pixar

I’ve only seen parts of HF. Everyone seems to dislike it, but I might try again. The faces of the penguins is a little weird.
