So do I. It looks so awesome ![]()
I would drive my parents insane. I would literally never use it on the ground. Ever.
Haha, looks like my intel has been reliable, SoA. Clearly, Iām a master spy⦠or just lucky. ![]()
I like the āpuckered lipsā pose Lassetire is giving, though Iām kinda disappointed heās not decked out in Hawaiian-shirt patterns.
Still, Iām very pleased heās making a cameo. I wonder how the Pixarians manage to trick him into giving a vocal track?
Are you referring to me? Who would the other person be, then? ![]()
Wow, that really hit out of the park. Great hints of the plot (I love that itās contemporary and about the oil crisis, it reminds me of āThe World is Not Enoughā). Some more reveals of the Tokyo race and airport chase, though Iām kinda hankering for Italy and England now. And of course, more Mater.
Iām really surprised how Pixar is going with risque jokes, even by the first movieās standards. I didnāt catch Materās [spoil]āIs the Popemobile Catholic?ā[/spoil] line at first and had to rewatch it several times to hear it. And the toilet gag in the first movie has now been expanded into an āeewā-outcome for Acer and a bidet slapstick moment with Mater.
At least we now know cars go to the bathroom. All that fuel and āLincoln Continentalā breakfasts have to go somewhere.
By the way, does anyone know what song was used? I thought I heard it in a mobile phone ad before.
Nope. Not you ![]()

Yeah! It was so good it even changed some opinions! ![]()
I kind of like the jokes.
Thatās just me though. I laughed out loud at the end with the bidet. Those things areā¦wellā¦really scary if you donāt know whatās coming. ![]()
I need to know the names of the song so bad!!
You were the one who supplied us with the name of the song in the first Cars 2 trailer.
Which I thank you for that. If anything, I thought youād be the one to know the names of the songs.
But, itās cool.
Hey, at least you think youāve heard it before. Thatās closer than me!
EDIT:
New character and turntable with description!!! ![]()
Ah! Would you look at that? Siddely isnāt a bad guy afterall! ![]()
^ Are you absolutely sure? ![]()
By the way, Rod Torque, the spy that getās confused with Mater, has also been released.
Rod āTorqueā Redline is considered by many as the greatest American spy in the world. Recruited after the Cold War for both his brains and brawn, Torque is a tough-as-nails Detroit muscle car with a mastery of disguises.
In his latest deep-cover operation, he obtained vital information about the plot to sabotage the World Grand Prix. So Rod plans a rendezvous with his British counterparts to share his discoveries at the World Grand Prix welcome reception in Tokyo, Japan. But with the bad guys hot on his tailpipe, Rod is forced to ditch the intel early and with the first party guest he sees ā a rusty American tow truck named Mater.
I already posted him. ![]()
You know, now that you asked me if Iām sure, you have me questioning it.
You work at Pixar donāt you!? You totally sound like you know everything! ![]()
^ Yes. Iām John Lasseter, but I go as Spirit of Adventure on public.
⦠Im sure John Lasseter would be more humble than that. Wouldnāt he also choose a name that relates more to pixar in general?
And Now Ive got more Wallpapers to go through⦠Yay?
Edit: Wow. I just found out Siddeley is played by the actor who did Lucius Malfoy. Talk about a change of sides.
Bruce Campbell will be voicing Rod Torque by the way.
⦠Im sure John Lasseter would be more humble than that.
Why, am I an arrogant member?
Sorry, I was just joking.
Edit: Wow. I just found out Siddeley is played by the actor who did Lucius Malfoy. Talk about a change of sides.
Yes, since they said that Jason Isaacs was playing him back when they released the trailer, Iāve suspected that Siddeley is a villain. Isaacs seldom plays nice characters.
^ No I didnāt mean it like that.
I was just saying I donāt think JL would just straight up tell us that its him. Sorry if that was confusing. ![]()
Hey, John! ![]()
for me, Siddeley looks evil
Thatās what I thought, but as the trailer says, āNo car is who they seem.ā ![]()
Or plane ![]()
Youāre driving me nuts on purpose! ![]()
Bruce Campbell will be voicing Rod Torque by the way.
Oh my god. Really? Iām a huge fan of the big guy from Burn Notice. ![]()
Anyway, I love how Rodās eyes are constantly shifting and performing a āperiphery checkā. Clearly⦠a master spy. ![]()
Ah! Would you look at that? Siddely isnāt a bad guy afterall!
^ Are you absolutely sure?
I thought it was fairly obvious from the teaser that Siddely was shooting at Mater and Finn. Unless he was providing ācover fireā, in which case, heās a pretty lousy shot. ![]()
I need to know the names of the song so bad!!
Okay, Iāve got it. Itās āRunā by Gnarls Barkley. You might recognise the vocals as Cee Lo Green, of āF*** Youā and āKung Fu Fightingā fame. ![]()
