Wow, that really hit out of the park. Great hints of the plot (I love that itās contemporary and about the oil crisis, it reminds me of āThe World is Not Enoughā). Some more reveals of the Tokyo race and airport chase, though Iām kinda hankering for Italy and England now. And of course, more Mater.
Iām really surprised how Pixar is going with risque jokes, even by the first movieās standards. I didnāt catch Materās [spoil]āIs the Popemobile Catholic?ā[/spoil] line at first and had to rewatch it several times to hear it. And the toilet gag in the first movie has now been expanded into an āeewā-outcome for Acer and a bidet slapstick moment with Mater.
At least we now know cars go to the bathroom. All that fuel and āLincoln Continentalā breakfasts have to go somewhere.
By the way, does anyone know what song was used? I thought I heard it in a mobile phone ad before.
