I agree- they knew how to pull of a parody.
I’ll admit it; I do remember a few moments when I laughed during Date Movie. There was something to do with Michael Jackson I think, which was pretty funny. But you always find things funnier if you’re watching a movie with your friends, who are inevitably making fun of a movie that’s making fun of other movies.
Well, at least these movies make you realise just how good the good stuff is.
Ah, that’s so true. They make you admire the films that are truly good and it just makes it all that much better when you finally see a good one.
I watched airplane straight after epic movie. I nearly choked laughing.
Or was it because you needed to cleanse yourself of awful comedy with a hilarious movie?
Hasn’t stopped DreamWorks from making Shrek films.
Netbug009: They made this movie mostly in April before most of the films they’re “poking fun at” even came out. I bet when they saw this summer’s comedies such as “Kung Fu Panda,” they probably said, “o crap, DreamWorks just made a better movie than we did. We really have no credibility AT ALL!!! Why haven’t they shunned us yet? Oh well. Let’s go pen another piece of dung!”

The only thing I found slightly amusing is the “Hannah Montana” parody with her telling them to buy her new CDs, because I really think that’s something Miley Cyrus would say on her deathbed.
But yes, as movie snobs, we find this stuff obnoxious, stupid, and a complete waste of time.

I don’t know about this movie, looks funny though. I seen Date Movie, Epic Story (what ever movie it was called making fun of Jack Sparrow and Narnia) and Meet the Spartains, and those movies were just dumb even though they did have a few funny parts but still. And why do I have a feeling this movie is be one of those movies?
If i wanted to watch a funny movie I go rent Airplane 1 and 2.
