NOW we’re gettin’ somewhere! :sunglasses: The Disney parks were starting to lose their luster. I refuse to set foot in Epcot until they resurrect the original Journey Into Imagination. :imp:

It would be great if Cars Land is Pixar’s true answer to a sequel.

Rumor has it that the new Cars Land, which opens in 2011, will coincide with the release of Cars 2 in 2011.

Well, I have never been to Disneyworld/land but I the Toy Story section sounds like a blast!

I really hope this is the only “sequel” to Cars ever made.

The Disneyland forum I go on has been going crazy with this stuff today :slight_smile:.

Very exciting.

The one thing is that , according to one rumor reporting site, they were supposedly planning a Ratatouille coaster for Paradise Pier, but nixed the idea, not because Ratatouille goes with the theming of Paradise Pier like caviar on a corn dog, but because Ratatouille “didn’t sell enough merchandise.”

A Ratatouille coaster doesn’t make sense to me. It should be a Monsters, Inc. coaster where you ride on doors.

A Partners style statue with a young Walt and early Mickey first arriving in California at the entryway along with a Red Car transport system going to Carsland and Hollywood Backlot
A Mater themed spinner ride and a Casa Del Tires themed remake of the Flying Saucers in Carsland
A Goofy retheme of Muholland Madness (replacing the Ratatouille coaster plan)

Oh I can definetely not wait for it! I think the Cars and Toy Story ideas are brilliant. I was hoping for some TI stuff, but I am happy for now.

This sucks only because their not adding this expansion to Disney World too. :cry: How come is all the other disney parks excpet Disney World getting all the cool rides?

This actually does not suck…

Disney’s Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM) will be getting Toy Story Mania, it is under construction as we speak. Actually, this will be the first time 2 of the same rides will open at the same time.

WDW is a huge tourist draw, maybe the biggest in the world.

The Disneyland Resort has the potential to develop into something so much more but Disney’s California Adventure needs a little boost just to bring it up to par with other Disney theme parks.

This is really overdue.

But don’t worry, WDW is getting some enhancements as well. The revamped Haunted Mansion has been getting a lot of great feed back which just fuels the fire.

That sounds cool, I’d love to see that. I too wish something like that was being added to Disney World, but I do agree that Disneyland needed to do more.
