PixarVixen - Exactly – you
took the words right out of my mouth.
The Star Swordsman - Yes, indeed.
Because the only living beings we know of that press lips are ourselves, it is rather unusual to witness other
creatures (and inanimate objects especially) performing the same action. Although, it doesn’t seem as alien when
non-human 2-D characters do the same thing (ie., animals, etc.). Perhaps the fact that
Cars is computer animated – and is, therefore, more “realistic” – makes
it all the more odd. Perhaps the Pixar artists knew this and decided to emit any kissing moments between McQueen
and Sally; personally, I’m glad they didn’t put anything like that in – heh.
To be honest, that exact reason- that the cars aren’t completely human- is exactly why I
don’t like Cars as much as the other Pixar films; I feel like I can’t relate to them as people. They’re still
just cars.
Despite this, I still think that the climax in Sally and Lightning’s relationship did call for
a little more intimacy, but that’s just my romantic side coming out.

Oh yeah – I never thought of that. No wonder I don’t feel the need to place
Cars at the top of my list. And I thought it was just because I dislike the
four-wheeled things. (heh)
Exactly. Although portrayed as humans,
somethng in the back of my mind, (and even in the audience) says they are only car, they are inanimate object
that came to life by the magic had of Pixar.
Hmm, looks like I
missed out on this poll…
I know I’m late, but welcome to the forums, LightningandSally! Cute name!

I’m a hopeless romantic, and McQueen and Sally are quickly making it to the top of my list of
favorite movie characters. Not that there’s anything wrong with “love-at-first-sight” deals, but I
like it when a relationship grows from friendship, maybe even dislike, in this case.
On topic, when I
first saw the movie I was a little weirded out about the possibility of seeing two cars kissing. (The snuggling
was cute, but that’s a different story.) After watching the movie over and over, I’ve warmed up to the idea. I
don’t think it would be so weird to see now, but I think I’m glad the kiss was left out. I don’t know how I
would’ve reacted to it the first time I saw the film, as much as I love fluff.
McQueen and Sally are
really sweet together, though. I ship them 100%.
Thanks!I saw your videos on youtube!thek were
awsome!

I was just thinking, if
Sally & Lighting had a kid or should I say CAR, what would it be? I was trying to think of an American/German
car and the only company I can think of is the Daimler/Chysler alliance.
So would they have a Chysler
Crossfire? HAHA
I’d like to think it would be more of a Mercedes SLK 320.
Or how about a german
designed Viper, if one could ever exist
Are Lighting and Sally going
out(dating)?
uh ,
yeah .
i thought maybe the “almost” kiss sealed the deal that they are officially a pixar
couple and are dating , but now u have questioned my knowledge of them .
I figured that they were an official couple when
Lightning and Sally were talking durring the Crusin scene.
i did too ,
until Lightning left in mac’s trailer . I wanted to scream " You idiot ! Stay ! You love her ! " . and
then he goes and i’m all " NO !! " .
But the good thing is he ended up with Sally anyways.
After the race, he went straight back to Radiator Springs.
Aww, thank you so much!
I’m sorry they’re
not up anymore… Pixar actually removed a couple, and I didn’t want to get in trouble for the others…

That whole goodbye scene with McQueen and Sally was so sad! I was really feeling for both of
them - they each looked like they were having a hard time. But you’re right, TSS, they did end up back
together, so yay!
but now u have questioned my knowledge of them

What is that supposed to mean gottalovepixar? Not to sound rude.
I
think he wanted Lightning and Sally to kiss durring the neon scene and got really disappointed when the cameras
and Mack came and ruined his moment.
