Enchanted

Does anyone else notice the

witch that throws Gesele into the well has an uncanny resemblence to the witch in Snow White?

I can’t wait to see this movie… anyone who knows me knows that I love fairy-tale

princesses and parodies, and this seems like a fun send-up of the whole Disney

princess genre. It seems like a good movie to round up the girlfriends for…

Hahaha, omg! This trailer is hilarious! Especially the ending! I might just

drag my friends to see it, hahah!

Ah yes, such a funny moment indeed. I loved how he has no idea what is going

on. His mind can’t deal the fact that it is reality instead of a fantasy.

Ya know, that could be the

theme of the story.

Mitch, wash your mouth with soap before you post

again.

The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle is without a doubt, one of the

greatest movies of all time. Absolute genius.

A great tribute to the world of Jay Ward, with a brilliant

script and great acting. Shame it flopped at the box office, but then again, what do people know? They’d rather

watch the latest installment of Shrek :unamused:

Enchanted looks pretty lame

imo. A shame this is among the only “traditional animated” projects Disney currently has planned, I

actually think animation from several of Disney’s Direct-To-Videos have better animation than what we’ve seen

from Enchanted.

Capt. Jack

Sparrow - Heheh – well, everyone has their own views, opinions, and differing “tastes”!

I just happen to hate the film, as did many other people. I take it that you are an excpetion, but that’s

perfectly all right with me! Nobody likes everything.

Enchanted is not

the only traditionally animated feature Disney has planned, by the way. The Frog

Princess (or, The Princess and the Frog, as it is now doomed to be

told, I believe…) will also be animated in the traditional, 2-D style of art.

I don’t know… The idea just doesn’t sit right with me. It seems too much like a modernized remake of Snow White.

I’m not entirely crazy about the live-action stuff, either. I would’ve rather seen the whole movie animated. Or see the animated characters remain animated in “our world.”

On the plus side, it does look funny. I actually did laugh when the prince hugged the tv… Maybe the comedy will be worth watching.

Lol, I saw a RENT billboard in the background…

I’d want to see it if only for the sceneries in NYC. It looks funny, but I saw a clip of them dancing around Bethesda fountain - 3rd film that it’s in! xD
Sorry, I just spend lots of time in Bethesda terrace and in the surrounding area. ^_^;; ehh I have no life.

It does look really funny for a Disney film, and I’m not going to listen to bad reviews- I’m seeing it.

Ah HA!! this is too funny, and it’s great to see 2-d again.

The thing that worries me most is that in the trailer, they hype the film to be similar to other classic Disney characters. IMO, this film looks as forgettable as any PDI Dreamworks film. Although I did laugh at some points in the trailer.

They hype the classics only to contrast it as being a spoof on the classics - particularly the princess movies.

Okay, the film will be released next week (right at Thansgiving time. Coincidence? I don’t believe so, this is more of Disney’s strategy) , so is anyone going to go see this? I’m not … and I can’t explain why. “shrugs” You’d think a return to 2D animation would make me of all people want to see this.

I’ll see it, sure. Not right away, though. I’ll probably wait for reviews to come out, and ask my friends how they liked it. Hopefully it won’t be too horrible.

I’m gonna be at the doors when the thing opens in the theaters. Seriously, you have no idea how long I’ve waited for traditional animation to be revived, especially in the Disney arena. It’s pathetic that the most we’ve gotten out of 2D animation are stinkin’ Disney sequels and the occassional goldmine (a.k.a., Lilo and Stitch) in the past…decade until now. I’m going to gladly spend my money on this one…

– Mitch

Watching Enchanted made me feel young again. It is a delightful film!

The animated scenes are refreshing, and I have been humming “That’s How You Know” ever since I left the theater. Heheh.

~~=oP

Mitch and PV - Thanks, guys. I guess I will see it at some point.

Amen to that Mitch…I am really eagerly looking forward to this too…I have many fond memories of watching traditional animated 2D Disney classics in the theaters during my early teens, such as The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin et al…and remember being captivated by the beautiful animation, storyline, characters and music. I will definitely want to watch Enchanted…even if for the 10 minutes of 2D animation at the beginning, I sincerely hope that, as little though it is, it will herald the beginning of a successful new Disney era in 2D feature animation.

The reviews of this movie are pretty good so far, hope that it will do well at the box office.

PixarVixen: Glad that you loved it, I can’t wait to see it!

Sheila and I saw Enchanted!

It was great seeing 2D animation on the big screen again. We especially loved the music (Go Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz!).

ashley

I finally saw it!! I loved it- music was incredible, loove Stephen Schwartz. xD And the 2-D animation truly was refreshing to see, and everything about it was just so enjoyable!

I needed to see it because some parts in my novel seemed relevant to it and I was hoping for an inspiration, not a repeat, and I got it. So, I’m extra happy lol!

I saw this movie today and I absolutely loved it!
I loved Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsy… too perfect for their roles.
The animation was fabulous, the music was fabulous, the actors were fabulous.

I think this is a great movie because it makes fun of itself to produce a rather outstanding outcome. There are a lot of movies that poke fun at some of the Disney classics (the one that comes to mind is Shrek) but the fact that this movie is made by the company which owns all the rights to classics makes it even more amusing.

Amy Adams is SO GOOD as Giselle!
