I’ve never had a “real” boyfriend, but this year this kid liked me for a little bit, and I wasn’t sure if I liked him, but we were never official or anything. And I don’t talk to him anymore. Anyways, highschool dances. Ehh. I feel like I can like see what you went through with the whole peer pressure, dance situation thing. If your dances are in any way like mine are, then they are crazy, and it freaks me out, especially all the weird stuff going on around me. I’m sorry you got peer pressured into your kiss, that stinks. But I feel like that’s an unofficial first kiss, ya know? It wasn’t magical like it should be. Your first real kiss will be amazing I’m sure!
Ugh, dances are awkward. I also hate that at my school they last until 12 AM, so I never go. I mean, I usually stay up a -little- later than that, but I want to be home so I can do what I -feel like doing- when I feel like doing it. Besides, I’ve been sleeping better lately! Ironic, because I’m much more stressed lately.
Dances can be awkward, but it can be magical as well. Oh, and lets not mention provocatively fun.
I’ve never experienced fun or magic at a dance. The band banquet this year was fabulous, but that was because I was only with friends, not alone or with someone who expected/requested a kiss.

Evangelina: I’m glad someone knows how I feel. I try to look at it the same way too and pretend it’s not my “real” first kiss. And I haven’t lost that feeling of excitement that I had before it because I still want to have that magical kiss that I haven’t experienced. I really like school dnaces but they sure are crazy! That was the first time I had went with a boy, I decided I like going to dances single better though. 
Virginia: Sheesh! That’s late. Ours are from 7-10, and they’re packed and sweaty and I’m not a fan. I’d rather just be at home, but being with my friends is fun. It’s the whole pandemonium around me that freaks me out, but I love being with my friends. I prefer the movies to dances anytime

I’ve never gone with a guy before, except my formal, and that was awkward XD Our dances are more like everyone just shows up and we see what happens.
Our dances are just in between, they run from 7-11 but most people don’t even get there until 8. Yeah, it was a semi-formal that I went to with him and guess what…I ASKED HIM! 
That’s one thing I don’t regret about it…the feeling after I made that first major move and just took the jump was amazing. Ours are always really sweaty and all that same stuff too but I like that atmosphere. I just love to go with my friends and have a great time dancing and having fun. Have you heard the song “Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy”? Well, one time I did this crazy dance to it and now every time they play it my friends make me do the dnace. It’s hilarious!
