Favorite American foods

I like burgers the best out of all American foods. I have even been to the place where the burger was supposedly created in the 1890’s. It’s called Louis’ Lunch and it is in New Haven, Connecticut. They cook a great burger there. It is awesome. If anybody lives near there, you should definitely go. They cook it just how the first one was done too. And with period cooking implements.

Just be forewarned though: DON’T ASK FOR KETCHUP!!! Lord knows what they will do to you…

This just might be one of the greatest inventions ever!

Do they not have ketcup? I don’t care how good the burger is, I want ketchup on it! I love ketchup, that was my one problem with Europe. Lots of places didn’t have ketchup, when I asked for ketcup at a Burger Kings in Ireland, they stared at me and said “let us check” :open_mouth: I was also charged extra for ketchup on the boat ride from Wales to Ireland.

Umm, I don’t know what food is American and what isn’t, so I guess I’ll pick American Cheese.

ellie-jessie-eve: I wasn’t sure if it counted as I wouldn’t call them average American foods.

Lizardgirl: I believe it’s milk chocolate, but now I’m itching to try it in dark. :astonished:

ellie-jessie-eve - They serve the burgers just how the original was done in in the 1890’s. It’s a burger on two slices of bread with tomato, cheese, and an onion slice. It is a place with a lot of character, and is a great place to go. Trust me, I usually hate it if I can’t have my burger with ketchup. But in this case, it tastes so much better without it. It’s awesome.

And like I said. Lots of character. I mean, you can even tell from outside.

And here is a burger from there place. One of the best ever.

That place does look like it has a lot of characters aaldawrogers! I would defintally love to eat there, even if there is no ketcup! Thanks for sharing it!
