Favorite Couple

That’s what I was going to say :stuck_out_tongue: It’s really hard for me to picture Remy with a girlfriend.

Yup. Being with a partner would tie down his creativity! or something… I don’t know.

Looks like L&S and Mike and Cecelia are tied for the favorite couple.Yay!Of course im for L&S.sorry M&C :stuck_out_tongue:

LBER: Well, if Remy did find a girlfriend, just as passionate about cooking as he is, don’t you think it might work out?

I’ll give my 2 cents even though I’m not LeBatenRouge. That’s the other thing I was thinking. It could work. They would have to meet in some romantic way involving food. And er, cooking and stuff. And they’d spoonfeed eachother, all cute-like. heh.
Or maybe not. I don’t know. But yeah, if he did find someone like that, the relationship would be based mostly on their art, I suppose. And I guess they’d be very passionate, judging by their personalities.
 sheila

I saw a fanart somewhere with Remy and cooking supplies, and then this girl rat with a paintbrush, obviously an artist. And they looked cute together, so maybe it’s possible he could fall in love with a rat who does some strange thing like paint or something.

I must agree with what some others have said and say that I truly can’t imagine Remy with a girlfriend. He’s so motivated and driven, and focused on his food. I think that he’d need someone who understands this passion, otherwise they’d clash just as Remy did with his father. So, a very, very broad-minded girl rat would be needed. I don’t think she would have to be too much of a workaholic herself though- I guess Remy needs someone to help calm him down and relax sometimes.

FONY’s idea of a girl rat who’s an artist is feasible- food and art are often compared, since they’re both very creative mediums.

Thanks lizardgirl. Though it wasn’t my idea, it was some fanart I saw … I think any rat with an interest in the arts, such as painting, or even music (that would be cute! xD) would probably be able to symphasize with Remy. She’d have to be more lax though, like you said- to calm Remy down, but she should have a certain drive and compassion in her work.

Wow, I don’t fangirl over Remy, but I can totally see it working out. xD I think it would be just adorable.

FONY- OMG, Remy’s girlfriend so has to be a disco rat!

Only joking… :stuck_out_tongue: A classical music rat, I can imagine, though.

It sounds interesting. I loved Ratatouille, but I just wished they showed at least one female rat in there. What if Remy found a girl rat that’s so secretive and suspicious, and she’s just so much a mystery that Remy wants to know her more, and in doing so, he forgets his responsibilities?

I wonder what would happen if Linguini or Colette found a female rat. Would they take her in for Remy?

i always thought of remy’s type of girl as a musician. i can see her now, strumming a rat-sized guitar and singing a french tune. ooooooooooooooh i liked that picture. i can feel a fanfic bubbling up…

I never did favor the idea of Remy having a girlfriend, since his main passion revolves around fine cuisine instead of a possible mate. He almost seems too independent to have time for anything else but food; however, I have to admit that I’m pretty biased in this case. I see myself as Remy, and since I never wish to get married in the future I kind of hope that Remy wouldn’t want to either. :stuck_out_tongue:

LG: XDDD
B•-r: Oh, no! I can see that scene in my head right now. And Remy’s not too happy in it. 8D 8D 8D But I wouldn’t be surprised if I saw that in a sequel by Disney. They tend to take the worst couple and make them kiss. wheresmybarfbag
RR: Uh oh…
Mitch: Now that is weird. You’re female, right?   You got me again. xD

A113 - Ha-ha. Oh yes, I’m a girl – a tomboy, actually. What I meant was that, as a girl, I never want to marry any guy… ever. I don’t know why, but I’ve just… never been interested in the subject of marriage. Don’t get me wrong, I think that it’s a beautiful relationship; it’s just that I would never want to do it. I’m more independent.
Connecting this point of view with the character of Remy: He (Remy) is the one fictional character that I relate to the most. I see him so much like myself that when I watch him act on screen it’s almost like I… see myself in the film. (It’s rather hard to explain, and that, in itself, is another topic altogether.) So, basically, I wouldn’t want Remy to get a girlfriend because I would never have a boyfriend. It’s something I would never do and, since I see Remy as myself, it wouldn’t seem “proper” for Remy to have a love interest either.

I hope that I didn’t make things more confusing. Eheheh.

Oh, and, for the record, I am not gay, if that’s what anyone is thinking. Never have been, never will be. I don’t mean for this topic of discussion to turn into a political debate or anything; I just wanted to clear that up.

But back on-topic…

– Mitch

Oh, no, “not at all”. You “never” do. :unamused: 8D

I get it. What really gets me is when female Internet users use male characters in their avatars, but I’ve learned to assume the opposite. XD

B-on-T: Did anyone else find Woody and Bo’s scenes a tiny bit…sick?

I’m a sucker for romance films, but unless I find ‘the one’, I’m not getting married. Why marry someone you don’t love completely just for the sake of being married? People act as if you can’t have a life without marriage or kids, when in fact, you can. Much more stress-free too, I’d expect.

Though, my personal views don’t keep me from falling in love over and over again in my head with pairings I ship.

Aw, darn it! I never thought you were gay, Mitch, don’t worry. And, for the record, neither am I.

Back on topic - my favorite Pixar couple will always be Colette/Linguini, because before that I never truly had a favorite Pixar romance - sure, Atta and Flik are cute but you don’t see much of them together, and Manny and Gypsy are cute as well, but again, you don’t see much of them together. :stuck_out_tongue:

LOL! Only one person voted Ramone and Flo. If we could see when they were younger, that’d be interesting. :bulb:

Off-topic:

A113 - Ha-ha. Yeah, I suppose that I do tend to make things rather confusing at times. I’m a novelist, so almost everything I write turns into a fairly complicated book. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ha! Yes, indeed. Almost every time I join a forum board, people think I’m a guy, even if my screen name doesn’t connotate it. I’m not exactly sure why, although the way I converse may have something to do with it. I don’t know.
I really confuse people this time around though, what with the cognomen “Mitch” and all. There’s a very specific reason why I chose that particular screen name and avatar, but that’s another story…

FONY - Exactly! When it comes to marriage, it’s good to choose wisely. Of course, I fall in love with the occasional ficitonal character once in a while, but that’s different. (snigger)

Puh-ha! Thanks, dude. I’m glad you’re not either. Heheh.

On-topic:

A113 - Nah, I never really found the romantic relationship between Woody and Bo to be too… eccentric. Besides Bob and Helen Parr, and Colette and Linguini, they seem to display their affection in a more blatant fashion than the other Pixar pairings, but other than that it doesn’t really bother me.

HEY!!!

don’t worry, this one won’t make you cry. i will admit, my cars one is kinda emoish…

Ooh… tough. But I saw Bugs Life again today, and I HAVE to go with Atta and Flik. It’s really sweet. Almost went for Lightning Sally though.

…Of course, the duo for our new little love story isn’t on the list, otherwise all other pairings would not stand a chance in the battle for the opinion of Netbug. XD
