Yeah, well here is the bands a few of them (the Guitarists on my list) have been in (or are in), Jimmy Page is from Led Zeppelin, Pete Townshend is from The Who, Mike McCready is from Pearl Jam, Kim Thayil is from Soundgarden, George Harrison is from The Beatles and Jerry Cantrell is from Alice In Chains.

Oh, pff, come to think of it you’re right. I’ve been reading The Beatles Anthology (which is entirely their own words, plus Brian Epstein and other related personnel) and he’s mentioned it several times. AMAZING book, enormous and I’d recommend it for the die-hard Beatle nut.
